Was excited to try a new chinese restaurant and ordered the cashew chicken. When I got home I noticed there were only peanuts on the dish and no cashews. I called the restaurant and they did not apologize and just explained to me how they made the mistake. They told me to drive back to the restaurant for a cup of cashews (a 40 min drive roundtrip). The male on the phone was very rude and did not offer any other option to rectify their mistake. Thankfully doordash refunded my meal, but this restaurant did not care that they made a mistake and did not care to fix their mistake.

Love getting takeout from here! I’m from NJ and have been trying to find good quality Chinese, and this is the closest I have found in the Riverview area! We drive over 15 minutes down I-75 because it’s that good. The portions are great and everything is always delicious. The owner/workers are always pleasant, and service is so quick. I highly recommend if you are looking for delicious, high quality, NY style Chinese.

The food here is amazing. It is far superior to any of the nearby Chinese to go restaurants. We ordered the meal for 4 so we could have leftovers for the next few days. Each dish was cooked perfectly and still fresh and hot by the time we got home.
I've been burnt by so many horrible places around here but not anymore. We're already thinking about what we'll order next time.

This place is truly amazing. Food is always excellent and the owner is very welcoming and accommodating. Will always answer your questions. This is the closest to New York style. Roast pork with vegetables was so tender and plenty of pork!! Outstanding!! Will
Always recommend to anyone who asks!!

Was visiting family in Tampa today and we were on our way home to order food. We encountered this place. The ordering process was very simple and the owner was very graceful explaining. The food was absolutely delicious...we ordered Orange 🍊,chicken, Bourbon chicken, boneless ribs, special lo mein and pork fried rice. My favorite was the boneless ribs. My sister lives there and I would definitely return when I am back ..this was today 8/23/2025.

Chinese food can be cliché and replicated upon multiple stores in multiple communities. Chan’s, however, is uniquely done and fantastic. Happy to have them as part of Waterset, and their portions were large serving our family of three with multiple days of leftovers. This is not a place to be missed and highly recommend anyone out there on the fence to try it, it may be the best place you’ve eaten Chinese in a long time.

My recent takeout from Chen's Kitchen was a bit of a mixed bag. The General Tso's chicken was definitely the highlight. The chicken was crispy, and the sauce had a good balance of sweet and spicy, making for a satisfying meal. I was also pleasantly surprised to see a vegetarian General Tso's option on the menu, which is a great touch for those with dietary restrictions.
On the other hand, the dumplings were a letdown. They were bland and lacked the savory flavor I usually expect. The texture was fine, but they were pretty forgettable without the dipping sauce.
Overall, Chen's Kitchen feels like a standard neighborhood Chinese takeout joint. The 4.5-star rating feels a little high for what is, in my experience, a pretty typical spot that isn't any cheaper than its competitors. That said, the General Tso's was good enough that I'd consider ordering it again. If you're in the mood for a reliable meal it's a solid choice.

I spent $65 for 5 combination meals and what a huge disappointment. The food was bland, my boneless spare ribs had no flavor and the fried rice tasted like pilaf rice. I won't be ordering here again.
Ordered takeout here for the first time. I kept it simple with chicken wings and pork fried rice. As a New Yorker I’m satisfied. It was fresh and cooked just right. I will be returning sooner than later
