The Vineyards Trattoria and Pizzeria

The restaurant sits on the corner of a local strip, and is a nicely decoration Italian style restaurant. The restaurant is dimly lit, so if you wear glasses or have poor sight you may want to bring a light for the menu. The service was fine, the greeter and servers were all polite and helpful. The food was, sadly, unimpressive. The portions were large, making it good for the price, but it was poorly cooked and generally didn't have much taste. The fried calamari was rubbery, the fried mozzarella was bland, and the scallops were dry and tough.

We are so glad we found this restaurant. Food is amazing with consistency no matter what you order. Our server Michael was a hoot. I had to fight him for the Parmesan cheese bowl 🤣, but he caved. Great service and very attentive to seeing your meal was everything you expected! He’s our new go to waiter!!! Great job to everyone at The Vineyards Trattoria & Pizzeria ❤️

The restaurant is very nice and the food is amazing!! We recently moved from Ruskin to Lakeland and in my last doctor’s visit me and my husband decided to try it. OMG, we regret not finding this restaurant before!! Mike, my server knows very well his job and he took care of us at every moment. Food is fresh and delicious. Now we know where are we going to eat after our doctor’s appointment. And we will make sure to ask for Mike. Thank you for the amazing experience and see you in 3 months or maybe before!

On today's date, August 15,2025, I went to the restaurant with my wife and kids. My wife and son are both vegans. Our waiter, Dave, gave us exceptional service. He went above and beyond to ensure all their vegan needs were met with care and kindness. Dave was attentive, thoughtful. He made our dining experience enjoyable. Dave is an asset to your restaurant. We will be returning the restaurant.

I had high hopes for this restaurant. We heard it was a great place to eat. It’s possible we were there on an off night. I normally wouldn’t make a review but it was just that bad. We made a reservation to which they were late seating us. Not a big deal until after 15 minutes we still had not been greeted or drink orders taken by our server and I had to flag the manager down as she walked by to ask if we had a server. Had I not done that, it would have been another 10 minutes before the server actually stopped by the table. We quickly gave him our dinner orders before because not sure it would have been done for a while after. We finally got our meals over an hour later and it was not good. Wife got chicken Alfredo and she said it tasted like a lean cuisine. I got the flounder and it was not cooked well at all but at least the pasta under it was good. Neither of us finished our meals and couldn’t leave fast enough. Finn’s or Circles would have been a way better choice. Most likely our first and last time going there. The only good part was probably the manager but not sure her team was prepared this night.

Let me start by saying that I called this restaurant to inquire about a group of Military friends getting together for a meal and drinks. I called the place and a young man answered the phone and I asked him if they had a happy hour and he stated yes from 4:00 to 6:00, Monday through Friday. He advised well drinks and beer were $2 dollars off. I decided to take my wife out to try this restaurant before I booked and made a group reservation for my friends and myself. Last night we got to the restaurant around 4:30 and were seated with no wait. Our waiter (Shawn) who was new took our drink order and advised that there was no happy hour on Friday. He stated that a rum and coke would be $10/$12 dollars for a glass. I said we are not on a cruise ship and why ,so much? I ended up getting a beer and my wife a sangria. The menu had a wide variety of dishes to choose from were reasonable priced. We ended up ordering the pizza, salad and calamari. The calamari came out first and we thought the portion was small, chewy and under cooked. When the pizza arrived we enjoyed it and the sauce and toppings were good. The only problem we had was the size 10' or less, not the standard size of most pizza places. Also, had a issue with the salad. The salad was soggy and wilted and seemed to be premade and sat in a refrigerator uncovered for awhile. Last issue was they only had one salad dressing to choose from (their house vinaigrette),so my wife ate some of it. Our waiter did a great job and was friendly and did his best in taking care of our needs. We will come back and try again.

This place is AMAZING! Food is incredible & the staff is so friendly! Portions are huge and prices are great! So full that we had to get our desserts to go! GM Christian & our waiter Michael made our first time here a fantastic experience! My only complaint is to myself for living in the area for 7 years and just finding this gem! Already planning our next meal here! Highly recommend!
