I had the Torta, which is doughy, fried sandwich, with rice, and a salad. My wife had the filete veracruna (fish and shrimp with rice and a salad). Both dishes were very good and they definitely beat a lot of the chain Mexican restaurants. In fact, I recommend dining here to support the local business! Their topping station was good, but my wife thought the hot sauce wasn't hot enough. They also have a large selection of drinks in bottles, which are perfect for to-go orders. And there's an assortment of different snacks... and we picked up a few bags of pork rinds.
Ate here tonight -had the carne asada plate. The carne was good, but too much gristle -it was impossible to fully chew it. The beans were fresh, but lacked flavor...same for rice and tortillas. I will not be back and do not recommend.

We had lunch there last week. It looked like any other Mexican restaurant in the area but it smelled different....it smelled delicious! The food was so yummy we are going back soon. The people are friendly and pleasant and the prices are very affordable. My favorite place in Arcadia from now on.
We go to the peace river a lot and then for Mexican at El Charro. Probably 2x a week. My husband gets Mojarra Fritta and loves it every time. I switch from tostadas to nachos to enchiladas. All exactly they way I like and very good. No complaints here.
