Slim's Bar-B-Q is an amazingly friendly restaurant with great food. The meats, including chicken half, sliced brisket, sliced pork, and fall-off-the-bone ribs, are all good. The sides, such as mac n cheese, potato salad, slaw, and beans, are excellent. One reviewer noted the melt-in-your-mouth brisket and the perfectly crisped fried okra. The service is great, with tea served endlessly and staff like Kelly providing excellent service, even adjusting the lights for guests. The atmosphere is welcoming, with staff seeming to know regulars by name.
