My husband and I have eaten at Slim’s recently three times within two weeks. We drive from Zolfo Springs . The food is absolutely delicious!!! And a shout out to Lacy and Tabatha, two of the best waitresses we’ve ever had! We be back!

I truly wish I could give this restaurant a higher rating because the food was amazing and our waitress was wonderful. Unfortunately, the situation that occurred completely overshadowed what could have been a great experience. We were a group of eight adults with a small dog in a stroller. We understand that some establishments do not allow pets indoors, and we respect that. However, there is a respectful way to communicate policies to customers—and what happened was not it. Another waitress, named Kelly, rushed into our seating area and loudly announced that another customer had complained about the dog. This was confusing, as the dog was not visible to anyone and there were only two other tables occupied besides ours. She then repeatedly shouted, “They have to go! They have to leave! You can’t have dogs here!” This was loud, embarrassing, and incredibly disrespectful. Regardless of how good the food was, this incident left a very negative impression. We will not be returning unless this issue is addressed. Customer service matters just as much as food, and no one deserves to be treated this way.

We had a wonderful lunch with family today! The food here is Fabulous! Best known for their barbecue sauce! Turkey, pork and beef! Scott and I had the small beef plate with sides! Jimmy had chicken, Patsy had Brunswick stew both delicious!
I stopped by Slim’s and ordered the ribs and sliced-beef combo. The ribs were genuinely tender, and the beef had solid flavor without drying out. I added fried okra, a baked potato and fresh green beans, and the portions were big enough to cover dinner for two.
If you’re not in the mood to cook, Slim’s takeout is absolutely worth the stop. I’ll be back.
