Eggboy is officially Jacksonville’s best-kept secret! This small breakfast joint is a total hidden gem. It is easily my favorite place to start the morning. The food is the freshest and most flavorful I have ever had—you can really tell they care about the ingredients. My family and I are officially lifetime customers. The restaurant was confusing. It wasn’t clear if the cashier would be serving our table, or if we should order at the register.
I politely asked the cashier, she said “Yes, I can serve your table if you want….” to which I said, “Yes, please”. But she never came, and after about 10 minutes I got up to order…
The food was very mediocre and super mid. The sausage on my sandwich did not taste fresh and the bacon was undercooked.
If you’re looking for drink options, heads up they only have one juice type on the menu, orange juice, but they were completely out of stock with zero other options. I did not see bottled water but could have been mistaken. A quick trip to Publix could have resolved this issue…
I would not recommend this place, there are several other much higher quality and tasting breakfast places to choose in the JAX area, and I will not be going back.
I recommend the business focuses on improving their cleanliness, customer service, perhaps add another staff member to separate the cashier vs table services, or simply put up a sign that states to “ORDER HERE FIRST”. Keep your juice selection stocked — no one wants to eat a sandwich with a dry mouth!

BLUF: Fan-freakin-tastic food, service was meh. Staying in JAX for a few weeks, saw the reviews and the packed lot on the weekends, stopped in to try and was blown away by the menu (very creative, quality ingredients). The people working there were really cool, cooks are really talented, however, the service was not the best (I sat for quite awhile with hardly anyone in there and was not served until I interrupted after the second person arriving after me was being served before me). After going back and forth for 10 minutes on what to order, I finally decided on the breakfast burger and the potatoes - top shelf, baby!!! I can't wait to go back and try some of the other things on the menu...**many** other things on the menu!!

Such a nice little breakfast restaurant that you can tell by the way the loyal locals are always popping in and out that your going to enjoy a nice hot meal. They have a great variety of options on the menu and will cook it to your specifications plus the coffee's have a large selection as well. I recommend the biscuits and gravy and trying the swirled cut potatoes which both are delicious.

This place is 'off the chain! ⛓️ 'Smash burger' 🍔 'blew me away' with flavor! 😋 My 'wiffee' is very particular about 'breakfast' and 'Eggboy' didn't disappoint! 💗 She love 'everything' about her 'afternoon brunch!' Needs more seats 💺 though... as alot of people were 'picking up' orders and departing! Can't wait to go back and order something else! 'Luvin it!'

Stopped in this little breakfast spot while visiting my brother that is stationed in Mayport... it was so good! We got a blueberry donut, breakfast sandwiches and fresh squeezed OJ - everything was delicious!

Egg boy is such a gem in our beaches area. The food is phenomenal, the service is top tier, and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. There are options for everyone, and the coffee is amazing. I’m so grateful for egg boy!! The freshest yummiest breakfast and lunch sandwiches

Excellent food made fresh and came out fast. We tried their chicken biscuits, one with cheddar and added an egg, both were delicious! The biscuits were large and fluffy and the chicken was seasoned good and crispy. We also tried their spiral fries and the cafe con leche, both very good. Definitely will be back, fairly priced and friendly employees
