If you like no frills diners with diner fare, Dano's is the place! When I want a great egg sandwich or a big breakfast of eggs and corned beef hash--really any country style breakfast--I stop at Dano's.

Huge shout-out and thank you to the Colonel from Dano's Diner for going way above and beyond last week! I've been wanting to try something from their burger lunch menu after our first visit there for breakfast a few weeks back. I ordered through GrubHub and waited the 30-45 minutes anticipated delivery time. After 45 minutes, I got a call from GrubHub support that my order was cancelled and refunded because someone stole my order. Although disappointed, I went on with my day and would try again another time. A few minutes later, I got a call from Dano's. It was the Colonel calling to apologize for the situation, remade my burger and delivered it to my house himself! Thank you again for great customer service and taking care of your customers! By the way, the Pete Rose Burger was amazing.

It's okay. Nothing real special about this place. The food is alright. The atmosphere is what you would expect on Mayport Rd. I did see the cook vaping while preparing our food. I won't be coming back anytime soon.

So, why the missing star? Plastic utensils! Eggs Benedict with a plastic fork and knife was a bit awkward.
The food was expensive and didn’t taste good. My boyfriend ordered chicken and waffles (He got two dry burnt chicken tenders and a floppy small dry waffle). I don’t recommend this place AT ALL. The owner talks too much and like I said the food is WAYYYY OVERPRICED if you eat this you must be desperate.

Great food with a “made by Dad” touch to it. Don’t get offended by the staff. If they pick on you it means they like you. It’s all in good fun. The atmosphere is nostalgia and some sarcasm. It’s a fun experience. I can’t wait to come back and try the burger.
