Portions have gotten extremely small here as well as the quality of the dishes. Employees are acting rude as if you're begging them for the food not giving them money for your order. Every time I came here in past 2 years it's gotten worse and more pricey with smaller portions.

Went for lunch on a Friday afternoon to a fairly busy place. Ordered our Captains platter with two items for $22.00 (I think). The cashier was a bit short and impatient. All tables inside were occupied so we had to go outside in the cool air and stiff breeze. Not their fault, but putting the plastic down to block the west wind over the water would have been nice. If they don't have plastic they should invest in some. The food arrived quickly, however, the calamari (all 16 pieces) were cold and tasted of stale oil. The scallops (all 5 pieces) were cold and tasteless. French fries were spectacular. This was a storied and celebrated place back in the day, but I'm sorry to say, I won't be back.

My wife and I have been going here for years but our latest visit was a disappointment . The people are helpful but the food quality is down and the price is too high for the portions

We didn't stop by the restaurant but across the road at the fish market... holy moly what an amazing place. Plenty of parking leads you into this clean and modern Fish Market the kinds of which have long disappeared. Tons of fresh fish selection in an atmosphere that says "Buy me I just came out of the Sea!" Since we didn't plan on this stop we just visited by can assure you that on our next trip we will be ready to buy and enjoy.

I watched this place grow to what it is now.
And I must say it represents what the term seafood on all levels.
From good food to a fresh seafood market.
I can't say one bad thing about this establishment.
Other than the line for the food.!!
Which should be expected.!!

I went in to Safe Harbor Seafood this past Tuesday. It was recommended for fresh fish, I have to tell you the fish left a lot to be desired. The mahi was not fresh. The grouper did not look good. The only fish that look good was the whole snapper and the rest of the fillets were just no great. Purchased scallops - wanted some fresh dry sea scallops. They had two bins of scallops that were not frozen. I asked the fishmonger and he told me that they were previously frozen so I bought the frozen scallops and they shed about at least 50% of the weight after cooking. Not great will not be going back.
This is not the restaurant. It is the supposedly fresh seafood fish that you can buy and the prices were very expensive. $20 a pound for mahi which is local. I don't think so.

I ordered the #20 count Fried Shrimp platter, French fries, Cole Slaw. Freshly prepared and Delicious every time.

Great views of Mayport fishing & shrimp boats.

Food is ok...like Captain D's or LJS style. Order and pay then sit. Drink refills self serve, and plastic forks with prepacked sides. Pricing is high for a military style cafeteria operation.

Not what I expected but everyone was nice and we had a good time watching boat activities.

Stopped in for lunch. Steamer was broke down but everything we ordered was the best. Ample parking, breezy atmosphere, food is prepped well. Decent prices for fresh catch
