We loved this restaurant when it opened and went back multiple times. Unfortunately, I had very disappointing service the last two times I went to get breakfast by myself. I sat at the bar both times. The first time the server forgot to put my order in. I was there over 45 minutes. I was very patient and understanding and I waited although spending an hour at breakfast on a work day was not ideal. I went back a couple days later and sat at the bar again. I put my order in immediately after sitting down and after it had not come out after 25 minutes of waiting, I just left. I ordered bacon and eggs. I’m not sure if they forgot to put my order in again or if the kitchen is just really slow. Very disappointing.

Biscuit and grit were not freshly made: Biscuit was hard, and grit smalled funny. FYI- I ordered Hot honey chicken and yolk biscuit sandwick. Waiting staffs were nice.

What a gem! We found The Toasted Yolk by accident and I'm so thankful we did because it will be our new go to for breakfast in Neptune Beach. The menu has so many unique offerings for both breakfast and lunch that I can't wait to try them all. Today, I had the menu item named after the restaurant where the egg is actually cooked and served inside the toast. The hash brown casserole was cheesy and the bacon was wonderful. Despite being located in an outdoor mall type facility, it is airy and open with both outside and inside seating and decorated with vibrant green colors. If you have the chance to have breakfast or lunch here, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
