We got 2 plates from this food truck a few months ago. The food was decent but the seasoning was too heavy. Out west we don’t have much options for Caribbean food so it is better than nothing.After a unfortunate run in with the owner/cook ? w/rude crew in toe…..I see why the food tastes so heavy!!!Bad energy & attitude.Maybe you shouldn’t insult the people who have patronized you.

I truly love the food at a Taste Of The Islands Jamaican Cuisine food truck. They offer a good variety of Jamaican dishes and their food portions are quite satisfying. I particularly love their shrimp pasta but any of their dishes are very good! They are also extremely pleasant and they go out of their way to keep their customers happy. They are a welcome addition to the Ave Maria community!

First time coming there. The directions in the gps led me to a house instead of where the food truck was stationed. When I got there they told me that they made a mistake with my order and asked if I could stay about 30 mins more and I didn't want to cause I was hungry and just wanted to take the food home and eat. So I had to take something else that wasn't my order and didn't like it at all.

So thankful for this food truck to be in Ave Maria! Authentic mouth watering Jamaican cuisine, seasoned to perfection. I've been here a few times and they never seem to disappoint. The staff is local, genuinely kind, and they also let you know which dish takes a longer time to prepare (i.e the seafood). Definitely recommend!
