Today, I went shopping at Macy's dept. store and decided to try the JRK café in the Aventura mall. I ordered a side of rice/beans and yuca fries. The server seemed annoyed that I didn't order a main dish. Anyway, as I proceeded to cash the items a slim female cashier walked away from the cash register and did not return. I stood there for a few minutes then finally a heavy set female came to the register and rang up the order. The cafe was not busy so to demonstrate such a nasty attitude was terrible customer service. Oh, the rice and bean was tasty, however, the yucca fries were frozen fries and not fresh cut. I will not be returning.

I don't know what it is about Caribbean restaurant acting stingy 😒 for gravy. I ordered jerk chicken and wanted some brown stew gravy or oxtail gravy the lady said we don't that. I even offer to pay for she refused. That was crazy

BEWARE: I’ve patronized this restaurant many times, but the cook has clearly changed.
Today I ordered two oxtail bowls for $71.95, and the oxtail was extremely tough and rubbery. While waiting, I observed an employee scraping burnt oxtails off a silver platter into a serving bowl. I had already paid and assumed it wasn’t for my order.
Once I got home, the bowls looked appealing because they were heavily drenched in gravy, but the meat itself was inedible—easily the toughest oxtail I’ve ever had. For the price and based on prior experiences, this was very disappointing.

👎👎👎👎 Ordered curry Chickpea with a extra side of Yuka to receive 2 small stick for 5$ ? And forgot the jerkcorn. THEY ARE SCAMMER ! My other order last time, paid for 2 side of jerkcorn to only have the amount of 1 spoon + they add me everywhere some piece of mango mixed with the corn, it wasnt on my order and I hated it ! I've been eating here probably 8times, taste good But they definitely cannot read correctly an order the 3 last time and im over it. It doesn't make sense to pay for something they cannot even do properly, its not cheap even more for uber eats, and they dont refund it 👎👎👎👎

The food was delicious, but the service was horrible. They don't communicate at all. Also, I ordered a No Protein bowl, and they charged me for lettuce and broccoli!!!!! I got a vegetarian bowl with a protein price. Go somewhere else
