Nostalgia Kura holds a special place in my heart. I had first gone to the Osaka location and I was captured by the novelty of the restaurant. This restaurant is just a quick snapshot of the Japan version. As you walk in, you come to a tablet and sign yourself in, now all you do is wait for your phone to buzz with great news: the table is ready. Now it's time for you to get to work. Grab the tablet and start pointing away at each item you want oooooor test your stomach by pulling something off the conveyor belt. Each item arrived in a timely manner, you can even see the statistics by looking at your order log. If you're anything like us, we ordered too much too soon and we were asked to wait for some of our items to arrive before ordering any more. One of my favorite things about the experience was the robot that brings you your drinks. Perfectly served and adorably efficient. All in all, a great (convenient) sushi spot. If you want to feel the Japan nostalgia. Here is where you have to come. Total Paid: $62.37

The food was decent and the service was good, however, during my visit, they we're woefully understaffed at the BoH. Imagine going to a revolving sushi bar and having NO sushi on the belt. Had to order each of my menu items directly and wait a decent time for them, not even able to enjoy the revolving gimmick. Again, food was decent and FoH was accommodating, but wary to go back due to this fact.

Don't come on a weekday. Unless they have enough sushi chefs staffed (typically a weekend) I wouldn't come. We just came Thursday night and there were only 2 sushi chefs to handle the dinner rush around 7pm. The 2 shrimp rolls I ordered were cancelled as they ran out of fried shrimp. We also ordered a salmon hand roll that took over 35 min to get to us. They told us it was a 15 min wait to sit down when there were 12 open tables, and then they finally did seat us at the literal end table, where there's no plates left as it runs by every other customer.

I reviewed Kura back in August 2023, but I need to write a new review; So I deleted the old review(old review posted below). I gave Kura a try once again because I loved their Tantanmen. For short, my girlfriend and I had a bowl of Tantanmen each. The noodles were undercooked so much that the noodles were still clumped together. The broth also had a weird taste this time. I'm not one to send food back, so just figured that the ratios making the Tare were a bit off. We both finished our bowls; however, we had an immediate stomach ache. By the time my girlfriend and I got home, she immediately threw up the noodles as soon as she opened the car door. I then threw up as well as soon as I got to the bathroom. We ate the ramen yesterday, and we STILL have a slight stomach ache. It's very very sad watching Kura degrade in quality. Sorry, but I can now say that I'm no longer coming back to Kura. If you're coming here for the sushi, don't even THINK about going during the week. Go during a weekend when there's A LOT more sushi options available. My Review from August, 2023:I would LOVE to give this place 5 stars. Trust me, I really do. The revolving sushi bar always has a lot of tasty options, and the service is nearly always on point. My only issue lately is the quality of the ramen. I would come here at least once a month JUST for their Tantanmen. It used to be SO so good. Now when I go, the egg and pork are always cold, and the noodles are always too al dente. It completely ruins the dish and it’s a bit sad seeing a place you enjoy so much downgrade in quality over the years. Maybe it was after the pandemic? Who knows, but one thing is that I’m probably no longer going to be coming here as often as I used to. Instead, I’m probably only coming now just to show friends and family that are new to Miami a cool/unique spot to eat.Food: 3 | Service: 4 | Atmosphere: 53 Stars Overall

The restaurant is unique in regard to your food being delivered through a conveyer belt. However, the time I went the food didn't seem fresh. What I ordered, was fried and it was dripping in oil. The sushi that was on the belt for a while just sat there, and it wasn't temperature controlled on the conveyer belt. The restaurant also wasn't cold, it was neutral. I am hoping to try this place again in case it was an off day. There also wasn't much service, since everything was done on the tablet on your table and through the conveyer belt.

Great food! After having lived in three years in Japan, I felt like I was reliving the restaurant experience in Japan. Marvin was wonderfully accommodating.

if only there is one here in Naples. no one can do sushi right here in ft Myers or Naples. they have combo thai/sushi restaurants here. its sad. went to ginza today and all u can eat 16 bucks and didn't even get served as they were too packed for their own good. I have to drive 2 hrs to kura sushi restaurant from Fort Myers. I went a 2nd time to this location and enjoyed it better. I went early so was able to get OK service. when they got busy at 1pm the servers got flustered and could not be as attentive. I wanted to pay and leave but ended up waiting an additional 20 mins. otherwise the food is good and I like ordering from the computer. The sushi you order come zooming down from the shelf very quickly.
