This place is an absolute gem for Slavic immigrants who are used to delicious rolls. Sushi in the U.S. is definitely quite different from what we’re accustomed to, but we’ve finally found our perfect spot. Generous portions of fish and cream cheese, beautifully presented dishes, high-quality tea, and incredibly welcoming staff make this restaurant stand out. We’ll definitely be coming back whenever we’re in the area! 😊

Sushi ZeY is more than just a sushi restaurant—it’s an experience. The moment you walk in, the unique and inviting atmosphere immediately sets the tone for an unforgettable meal.

The food is absolutely phenomenal!
The California Roll was fresh and perfectly balanced, and the Spicy Tuna Roll had just the right amount of kick. But the highlight for me was pairing it all with their soothing green tea, which added a calming touch to the meal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We found this wonderful sushi restaurant by chance on Google and when we went in, a very sweet lady welcomed us. First, we started with a wonderful tea and sake. Definitely try the sake. The sushis looked so good that we listened to the lady who was taking care of us and tried the baked melt sushi upon her recommendation. It was incredibly delicious. Sesame sushi and spicy tuna were incredibly delicious. This place also very clean all the details amazing. After the food you will have some ginger cashews this is amazing taste I love it . Small details all the time make people happy 🫶
The sushis were very filling and delicious. This place definitely deserves 10/10. I will come again.

Sushi ZeY is an absolute treasure! This family-owned restaurant stands out with its warm and welcoming atmosphere. Saltanat, who greeted us with the kindest smile, truly elevated our experience. Her recommendations were spot-on and showcased her passion for their craft.

The food? Simply incredible. The Baked Melt Sushi was unlike anything I’ve ever tried before—rich, flavorful, and utterly memorable. Every bite reflected the care and skill put into their dishes.

If you’re looking for a place that offers not just delicious sushi but also a personal, heartfelt dining experience, Sushi ZeY is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

I was in Aventura for a work event, and I wanted to get sushi, so I looked up joints in the area and found Sushi Zey. There were a few other bigger restaurants in the area, but I wanted something more cozy and a place where I could sit at the bar. I had a fantastic dinner at Sushi Zey and a delightful time chatting with Sati. It was a relaxing homie vibe, and it fealt like having dinner at a friends place. Sati and her husband are hard-working restaurateurs, and their passion for what they do shines in their amazing food. Their Ukrainian twist on traditional Japanese sushi was a fantastic and delicious experience. If you want a spot to eat great sushi and meet a wonderful lady, go see Sati at Sushi Zey.

Large and testy “Russian style” rolls. Very polite and courteous waitress. A bit pricey

Ok. I’m confused. How can this place legitimately have a 4.8 rating?

My wife and I used to go to the previous sushi location here (5 years ago), saw Sushi ZeY pop up, and decided to give it a try.

I can only recommend this place if you like cream cheese and salmon. No disrespect meant, but I just don’t think this is very authentic Japanese cuisine.

This is a Russian take on Japanese sushi, which is OK, but just not something I’m willing to pay premium dollar for.

The good: the staff is very friendly! The location is tight to get in and out of (both parking and restaurant), but once you get parked and seated, the ambiance is very nice. I will say that it LOOKS higher quality than the previous sushi place.

Overall, the size of the rolls is 8 slices, but the slices are larger than what one would expect from a grocery store sushi cart. I could still fit the entire slice in my mouth, no problem. I would say I was still hungry after one roll, but probably wouldn’t be able to eat 2 whole rolls comfortably.

The bad: as mentioned earlier, most of their dishes are some sort of spin on salmon + cream cheese. I think they have a total of 4 different types of fish - tuna, salmon, eel and bonito flakes?

For two rolls, as the only people in the restaurant, we waited about 25 minutes. I think this is a bit of a long wait…

The ugly: the prices. Oh man, $17-$27 for a salmon roll with cream cheese and eel? Hmm…

We didn’t try the alcoholic drinks, which many people have given praise to, so I can’t speak to that.

Parking: Maybe 25 total parking spots for 5 businesses.

vegetarian and vegan options are extremely fresh and tasty. The hostess Saitan was very clear in her explanation.
Service was slow perhaps being a Saturday night and that the chef is the only one who does the cooking. But overall some of the best sushi I’ve ever eaten.
