Hillstone Restaurant at Bal Harbour

My grandson was asked to leave the restaurant just because he was crying for less than a minute. He is only 2 years old and we weren't even offered a high chair to place him in. Our guest who had been in this restaurant in bay harbour saw this act from the main waitress and they said that they will never go back in to this restaurant in bay harbour.what a shame that some people forget that they where children once. I will let all my colleagues know about this incident so they won't have this terrible experience.

I’ve been coming to Hillstone since forever. You know you get amazing food and usually amazing and friendly service. This time I decided to sit at the bar , the bartender Zachary just seemed unbothered , we waited forever to be set up and forever for our drinks until finally the other bartender girl came to help us. Seems so off for hillstone standards.

Nice brunch stop before shopping. Coffee bar, the sushi rolls and salads are very average, but the call drinks are fine.

9pm on a Monday night: the kitchen is out of 1) filet 2) ribs 3) crab cakes. No warnings when making reservations. Premium price but bottom end customer focus.

I have always loved going to Hillstones; i love their spinach dip BUT i was there last week for a lunch with a friend that happens to have 2 little toddlers. One of 4 and another of 3; the host told as that the strollers could not enter the space of the restaurant so we had to leave them in the front. One of the babies fell asleep and we put him on the stroller and the nanny stayed with him they told us that we had to carry him and have him on our lap or go outside with the stroller but she could not stay with the baby in the stroller and her next to in the front of the restaurant.
Also we were sitting at a booth this one I get; the toddler would be standing in the booth sit and it can be hazards BUY everything else I think it is very bad.
I think I am not coming back; don’t say it is kids friendly when it is not, but only this location because boca raton the stuff is great and very kids friendly is this location in particular.

I normally go to the Hillstone in Coral Gables but went to Ball Harbor for something different. The Hillstone there is a bit smaller but the same feeling and charm. There were differences in the menu so it was good to try something different at the same quality level.

The ac wasn’t very strong. Very muggy inside. The food was mediocre. Very poor compared to ny’s. My toddler literally fake cried twice and someone came over and asked us to take her outside. They served ribs without wet wipes and didn’t actually even have any.

Hillstone in Miami is absolutely fantastic. We ordered the Spinach & Artichoke Dip, the Rainbow Roll, and the USDA Prime Filet — and every single dish was incredible. The filet was cooked to perfection and with french fries by the side, while the sushi roll was fresh and tasty. The spinach dip was the perfect starter — creamy, rich, and delicious, definitely will order again.

The service is attentive, professional, and genuinely warm.

The atmosphere is perfect for a date night - soft lighting, romantic vibe, and just the right level of background noise. It strikes that balance between upscale and cozy. Highly recommend for a special evening out!

We used to love this place. Specially the French dip. This time we went to Miami, we were with our 3 years old kid and 9month baby. It is not a family restaurant. It doesn’t have kids menu, not kids chair, so it was very uncomfortable. The sandwich was delicious!!!!
