Stopped into the Panera Bread on Bay Drive in Bellaire Bluffs, expecting a decent experience, but left annoyed.
My friend brought a can of tuna he was really looking forward to eating and simply asked to borrow a can opener. Not only did the staff refuse, but they didn’t even bother to look for one—just a flat-out “no,” like it was some outrageous request. It’s a basic kitchen tool, not a flamethrower.
To top it off, while we were eating, an employee decided it was the perfect time to fire up the vacuum—literally right next to our table. Mid-meal. No heads-up, no “sorry for the noise,” just full-blown cleaning like we weren’t even there.
The food was fine (hence the two stars instead of one), but the lack of courtesy and common sense from the staff really soured the visit. Won’t be rushing back.

Horrible representation of a proud STL company. This is not up to standards especially in Belleair Bluffs. Cold coffee and empty vessels of creamer. Employees standing around like proud DEI. Do better!!

Wife ordered a sandwich to split and I had to check under the bag of chips just to see if a sandwich was there. It was one slice of thin ham and 3(?) types of cheese. Whole sandwich looked like a flat grilled cheese I could have made at home. Highly disappointed but I should have believed the reviews. Picture looked delicious. Real thing? Not so much. Never again.

Im sitting here in panera drinking free water because not once but twice i stood at the counter waiting for the staff to stop talking to each other to take my order. So for no food for me. Not firing these people is pointless. Your store is loosing money by having them work here.

What Great, inspirational, and thoughtful customer service I was privileged to recieve from a young Jay. I mean just in 5 minutes of his time he brightened up My day and allowed me to enjoy a wonderful experience!

The employees working at 11:00am on March 1st were completely unprofessional. Instead of being asked what i’m waiting for, which was an uber eats order I had to ask for it at least 3 times. They told me they checked on my order when they obviously did not. And they were serving people all around me and acknowledging their order before mine. The cherry on top was when I finally received my food but instead of being handed the food she set it directly in front of me without saying one word towards me. Panera management let me ask you this, is this the proper and sanitary way to package an uber eats order?
