My husband and I drive past this place all the time but put it off because we thought it was a chicken joint. All I can say is thank God for the Google reviews with images! I have been needing some authentic puerto rican and cuban food in my life and the places around here were just not cutting it.
First off, chicken time was clean, and had a wonderful atmosphere and charming music. We got to pick our own table, which I like. The staff was pleasant, patient, and kind.
Between my husband and myself, we got arroz con gandules, tostones, a ropa Vieja cuban sandwich and mofongo with pork chunks and a garlic-broth sauce to drizzle....we also got a side of sliced cuban bread which was toasted on the outside and buttery and soft on the inside
The arroz con gandules tasted like my abuela's home cooked meals, which left me with such warm homey feelings.( I miss her so much!)
The tostones were golden perfection with a nice crisp.
My husband said the ropa vieja was better than any other place around here, flavorful, meaty and saucey.
The mofongo was moist and buttery, absolutely delicious! Other places nearby serve it very dry and hard to swallow.
We also got a cuppachino and café con leche, both of which were delightful. The queso flan was a treat, too.
All and all the whole experience was worth every dollar spent. My husband and I decided, this is going to be our go to spot for dinner dates.

No utensils no napkins. For almost $30 I think I could have got a few napkins
Definitely NOT authentic Cuban food. The steak sandwich was super salty and soggy. Not the right kind of steak for this particular sandwich. They put like a melted cheese on it that was super salty as well. Mushy and cold. The chicken soup was super salted and very funky flavored. Very disappointing.

A small family owned restaurant. The Husband and Wife team that run this incredible business really know what they're doing when it comes to great food and service. Had a Cuban sammich and some black beans and yellow rice and they were perfect. Tried some of my wife's tostones and they're my new favorite thing! Eating the food here brings me the same joy I feel when I hold a kitten and it starts purring in my arms. It fills my tummy and my soul. The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet, good facilities, friendly people. Easily my favorite restaurant in Marion County.

Great food, we had pressed sandwiches and coquettes with a cappuccino. I could have used maybe a bit more pickles on my Cubano but it was awesome as is. Great prices too!

I ordered food via ubereats… it took FOREVER. They put my cafe con leche in a paper bag and the juice from the chicken leaked everywhere. I think the chicken was boiled? Not grilled. The flavor was good but they really need to use more durable packing for to go orders.

Wow I'm so impressed with my 1st order from this place. I ordered a beans & rice platter and a guava empanada. The flavor was out of this world yummy! You can taste the homemade love that they put into their food! I can't wait to try more of the menu!

Stopped in while in the area to check out the Cuban sandwich. I love good Cuban sandwiches.
The place was clean and nice. The Cuban tripletta sandwich not so much! Worst one I have ever had.
One very very thin slice of processed packaged ham, pork had very little flavor added a lot of pepper and some salt which helped. Appeared to be crock pot cooked pork. No cheese on sandwich.
Pressed Cuban? Not so much may have used a burger press as it was partially pressed.
Wife and I shared it. Her confusion on what we had mirrored mine.
Won’t be back.

I was a bit skeptical about this place until we got our food. The chicken soup and combination platter blew our expectations out of the water. Everything was delicious, even the café Leche.

The Cuban sandwich was disgusting. I would never ever ever order from there ever again in life. They need to close that place down. The bread was moly and stale. No good.
