I previously called at 5 and was told they close at 6:45 pm when the sign says 7. I had started calling at 5:45 to place an order no answer. Called 6 times and then I walked in at 6:13 no one came up from until 6:17 and when I went to order a sandwich, I was told they can’t take my order bc they have too many. To me that is bad business and I’m taking it as my money is good enough there. Never had a restaurant to deny me service. Weird

We placed an order through DoorDash 2 chickens plates with one side of red beans with rice and the 2nd order chicken with an order of fried and salad, a sampler and an extra rice with beans. When we took our food out we were missing red beans and immediately called not noticing it was closed but, in the middle of leaving a message someone (would not put his name here) picked up. We did let him know that our beans were missing, he immediately stated he was the one who packed the food and he did put the beans inside the order and he didn’t know what happened afterwards. Again, we explained it was not there, he again repeated himself he packed and that was that. No apologies, no let me credit you, no accountability and that was very disappointing and our food was not cheap. We had to ask and all we got is next time you order I’ll give you free beans. I’m a business owner myself and I would do whatever it takes to keep my customers happy and an apology says a lot. I don’t think we will order from here again

Quiet atmosphere. Service was prompt & cordial. Owner was friendly & welcoming. I was born & raised in Puerto Rico; therefore, extremely picky with what people label "Puertorican" food. This place is legitimately good. Food was seasoned just right! It's been in business for 30 years. From the outside, it gives a hole-in-the wall vibe; however, the inside is quiet & clean. Clean restrooms too! La comida sí tiene sazón! Carne frita was perfect. Ropa vieja was full of flavor! Buen trabajo mi gente!

I would normally give this restaurant all five stars. However, I placed an order, and it wasn't right. I specifically asked for three Cuban subs, three orders of red beans and rice with onions on two of them, and two orders of jalapeño sauce. I got my three subs, two orders of red beans and rice, along with the two orders of jalapeño sauce. However, the onions were put on two subs instead of beans and rice as requested. We were shorted an order of red beans and rice too. The rice was hard as well. I called to let someone know that our order was messed up. I believe I spoke to the owner who blamed me for ordering wrong. I ordered exactly as I stated above. He said again that I ordered wrong and basically hung up on me. I was not rude to him. I wanted him to know that they messed up our order and maybe an apology and an offer to give us our order corrected. I would've ended up disappointed with my red beans and rice since the rice was hard anyway. This was the worst experience we've ever had with Chicken Time and may not order from them again. We've eaten in or taken out for years, but that may be my last order. I must add that I have always placed my order the same way and never got onions on subs instead of beans and rice.

Why post hours if they never keep to it? They say 6:30 or 7 but Since I moved here I’ve been trying to visit this location. I’ve gone at 6, 5:30 and even got off early one day at 5, got there at 5:20. Each time they said they were closing.If you’re going to JUST be a lunch place then just say that.Also they aren’t even nice about it. They act like you’re annoying them for even being there.

It was our first time eating at the restaurant. We order our food and it was delicious, but they forgot to bring us an appetizer that we ordered. We paid our bill but later we noticed that they didn’t itemized the food we ordered… so, how am I supposed to know if they charged me for the food we never got?

Great place for some delicious Cuban food. The Cuban sandwiches are amazing. Went here with a friend on lunch and had a great time staff was very friendly. Chicken Con Pollo is delicious also.
