Walked in not very busy. Seated immediately, order taken. Waited over an hour for mine and my husband meal. Wasn't anything to crow about. 2 watery scrambled cold eggs, my husband had 2 overeasy eggs that were deff not overeasy or even warm. The 1 pancake was brought out 30 min before the rest of the food while we actually ordered 3 pancakes. No one bothered to come by and advise what kitchen issue was. People behind us had been waiting an hour and a half. While they stand by some garbage that made from scratch takes longer..unless they were physically grinding the flour for the pancakes, plucking the eggs out of the hen house, and sucking syrup off the tap breakfast should never take that long in any restaurant nor have I ever waited that long. There are no apologies for their incompetence in fact there is a sense of entitlement there. Never will we return there again.

EDITED TO ADD:
I just received a phone call from Shelley, more than a day later, (the owner) who argued with me, talked over me, interrupted me, made excuses and said things that were not true or correct. When you're in denial, you can't see things clearly and therefore can't improve on complaints. Terrible attitude.
Called and placed a take out order for a large cranberry pecan salad, and was told by Kristin to give them 10 minutes. I got there 10 minutes later and ended up waiting another 15 minutes. 2 girls working behind the counter, maybe 4 small tables taken. I reminded Kristen to put captains wafers in the bag. I get home and there's a big mound of chicken on the top of the salad even though I ordered a large vegetarian salad to go with our grilled meats for dinner. I explained that when I placed order, and she never said it comes with chicken. So I get home and pop a piece of chicken in my mouth and it's sour, spoiled, no good. There's one pecan on top chopped into 4 pieces. Nice fresh veggies and the dressing was good but you can't eat a salad tainted by spoiled food. 𤨠plus nobody seasoned the chicken anyways, no salt pepper, nothing. Weird!
I called and asked for a manager or owner and was told they'd call me tomorrow. I asked Kristen why she gave me saltine crackers and she said she'd thought captains wafer was a metaphor and she didn't know it was a real cracker. She had never heard of captains wafers. AT A RESTAURANT. Unreal. And nobody has called. After looking ar at these reviews I'm guessing nobody will and understand why business was so slow. Nasty food. HUGE WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME.

Very long wait time to get served and mediocre food then. Server was good but this was probably a one shot. Ocala just can't seem to get good restaurants often.

Thought I'd try a new place for breakfast but boy was i ever disappointed. the place is cute and waitress was nice but I ordered a breakfast bowl that was so incredibly salty it burned my throat and I couldn't eat it at all. She asked if I wanted a box and I explained i couldn't eat it whatsoever. Didn't offer to remake or exchange it at all. My husband liked his pancakes. So I get the ticket and my entire $20 breakfast is still there ...not even a discount & the bowl was left on the table completely full. I wouldn't cone back.

EDIT: this used to be one of my favorite places and given the new location I decided to give it another chance over a year after my previous review and it was one of the worst experiences I had eating out. I brought my two young children and little sister. Paid over $60 for 3 kids meals, a pancake, a raw egg that I did not eat, and a side of bacon. That was after waiting over an hour to receive our food. Extremely disappointed and I do not understand any good reviews this place has had in the last 2 years. Will never be returning. And if youāve been wanting to try this place, please save your money. First Watch has similar pricing and are a much better choice which is unfortunate because I love to support local.
Went in an hour before close, told us 15 minute wait. After waiting 35 minutes was yelled at saying āfood will take an hour and half after being seated just wanted to let you know so you can make a decisionā⦠after waiting 35 minutes in the sun lol. Please donāt give these people your business (:

I had a very horrible experience today 03/02/25.
First this place is not children friendly at all. My fiancĆ©, my twins & I came in for brunch around 1pm. We waited about 10mins for a hostess to clean a table. Then she finally sat us and we waited probably another 10mins just for that same hostess to come and ask us for our drink because she seen we still hadnāt gotten drinks.. Well our twins were definitely anxious for some lunch so I went ahead and placed their orders with our drinks. After 15min our waitress finally comes and greets us.
She talking about how sheās burned herself and she just seems very anxious. She said sheās had a lot going on (which is fine I understand) . We place our order for my fiancĆ© & Is food. Then the wait goes on and on and on. As she helping the tables around us.
Sheās just moving past us, we asked for a bowl of fruit at one point just to keep our kids at bay and she never brought it overā¦
We waited and waited . At this point we had been there for 50mins. Never received the order we placed for our twins or our food. Not even the bowl of fruit⦠Our twins are two years old. Itās lunch time and going on nap. I didnāt expect to wait 50mins just alone for their food. That doesnāt even include the time waited for the table or for the hostess to come back to us⦠So we got up to leave and here comes the waitress. As Iām holding my child whoās throwing a huge fit because heās hungry. I tell her donāt worry about weāve waited far long that weāre just going to leave. My child is throwing a huge fit Iām embarrassed and Iām hungry. She scoffs and gets upset with me? And Iām so confused all I could do is get my children to the car. Then I walk back inside and the waitress is talking with the owner Shelly.
I asked Shelly if I could speak with her & im explaining to her how long weāve waited etc. then the waitress is joining on the conversation basically calling me a liar and causing a scene. She then goes on to throw out how my children have been screaming. They had just started screaming 5mins before we decided to leave. Which made me feel even more like crap because we literally just came for lunch⦠Yes they were upset crying but I mean we had been waiting for so long⦠But now your having something to say about my children crying ? She was being so unprofessional & Shelly (the owner) is allowing her employee to be like thisā¦
Shelly herself even seen that the food we placed for my twins was put in a whole 45mins ago⦠so she, herself could see that we have been waiting for so long⦠but she didnāt have anything to say.. she just said āwow I didnāt know this was going on, I didnāt know you all waited for so longā but how not ? I mean you run this establishment, you were waiting the table right behind us, how did you not ? She passed me many times, I even tried getting attention twice to let her know what was going on.. Our waitress never not once came to let us know how much longer the food would be.. And it wasnāt even busy in there. I was so confused. And for the waitress to act like she was some victim was absolutely insane.
Where Iām getting at is, next time I wonāt come here. Iāve eaten here before when I was pregnant with my twins I had such an amazing experience and this was our first time coming back since having our twins. It was the worst experiences Iāve ever had at a restaurant. Itās hard being parents another let alone to twins⦠I didnāt expect going to brunch would have me leaving a restaurant in tears⦠Made me feel like my children and I werenāt wanted.

First time here and it was ok. I had a Belleview burger. Big burger and it was good but for 3 people, it was over $60! Way too expensive. Waitress was ok. Donāt plan to return.

Was seated at 9:09 am and our breakfast was served at 9:31 am. It wasn't crowded but there were quite a few tables occupied. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. The food was excellent and served promptly. From this visit it appears their growing pains are behind them.
Food was amazing! We had biscuits and gravy (10/10), hotcakes were thick, fluffy and flavorful (10/10), French toast was good (8/10). Itās so awesome to finally find a place that has delicious home fries that arenāt deep fried! Done on the flat top with onions is my favorite way, so thank you for that. Seasoned well enough to not have to add salt. Bacon was cooked just right and eggs were cooked to our preference. The only thing we werenāt a fan of was the butter, it came out curdled. The OJ they have available is delicious, but coffee was just ok.
The service!!!! Leslie was amazing as she always is. With only 2 servers hosting/seating, serving, bussing, cashing out and doing dishes. I give so much credit to the two servers working today and not just walking out. They had no help. No manger anywhere and the owners were no where in site. Food takes to long, there must only be one cook. This is completely unacceptable and seems to be common practice at this restaurant since so many of the reviews rave about the food but complain about the lack of service due to always being understaffed. The food is worth going back again and again but wonāt frequent often due to lengthy waits. The food isnāt that amazing to tolerate the service or to watch these poor servers suffer. Please get a hostess and a busser then I can understand having 2 strong servers running your floor but that is so unfair and not sure how you can get so many complaints about lack of service due to being understaffed before you do something about it. Please respect your staff before you have none.

decided to have breakfast Around noon today with my mother, wife and my 3 year old waited in the small heated astroturfed wait section for 20 minutes before being seated which was acceptable but it would be another 50 minutes wait after we ordered to receive our food.i spend 2.5 hours here with my pissed/hungry wife, mom and toddler for this!
when we did receive our food my eggs severely undercooked, pancakes were "custard" like with one side of each being somehow overcooked?.
Mom and my lady had biscuits and gravy, with clumps of dry flour throughout and not a chunk of sausage to be seen.
Side note the little one choked on some of the undercooked bacon she's okay thankfully.
This experience was severally dissatisfying and I don't believe I'll set foot in there again.
All I wanted was a nice breakfast with the family...
Next time McDonald's it is, better yet I'll cook my own!

PANCAKES THE SIZE OF BIRTHDAY CAKES UNTIL⦠I overheard the server tell the table behind us there was an hour wait. Wait? She didnāt tell us that and we sat after them. Meanwhile weād ordered $20 worth of ācocktailsā. The Malibu sunrise and the espresso martini, or nothing but colored sweet water drinks. DO NOT under any circumstances order any cocktails from this place. They do not tell you that they are wine based, which is not a cocktail (but thatās another story). The fact that she told the table behind us there was an hour wait (not 90 seconds after we were sat) is troublesome. I was so looking forward to the pancakes, or hot cakes as they call them. The only thing I can think of is they cook them in small cake pansā¦i digressā¦
Improve by 1) telling your customers in advance (before you seat them) that thereās an hour wait, 2) telling your customers that your alleged cocktails are made with wine not actual liquor, 3) owning it!! When a table asks to leave because the wait has already been an hour donāt charge them for the drinks that they didnāt drink.
I wish I could get this place a five star review. I read other reviews, Iāve seen the pictures, my mouth was watering before even got there. But, this is best example of a place that just does not live up to its hot cakes.

The food is good, but holy cow is the service horribly slow. Don't know why but you can go in when hardly anyone is there and it takes forever to get waited on and waiting on the food is ridiculous.
If you on a hurry this is not the place to go.
