I came to No Name Pub fully aware of its history and reputation, which is precisely why the experience turned out to be particularly disappointing. The issue was not the bill itself, but the clear misalignment between price, service, and the treatment we received. The service was so rushed that it felt distant, inattentive, and lacking any genuine interaction with the customer. We were served with plastic cutlery and small plastic cups for beer, while other tables at the same time were given large glassware. This evident difference in treatment was difficult to understand and even harder to accept. An incorrect dessert was also served and handled with little attention. The most problematic aspect, however, was being explicitly told that tipping was not optional but subject to a mandatory minimum of 18%, despite the service being clearly underwhelming. In my view, a tip should represent recognition for hospitality and service quality, not an obligation imposed regardless of the experience. This leaves me uncertain whether I would recommend the place. An island with such a strong history and unique character deserves to be enhanced by a more attentive, fair, and consistent approach to hospitality
BRIAN CRISPIN SAYS, GREAT PLACE TO GRAB SOME GRUB AND A DRINK. Swing by while you are near by and bring some ones dollar bills. You will see why.
Unless you were ordering alot , or a big group, Brenda was not a fan. Put a smile on your face be happy! Too spendy for a Dive Bar Fun to look at, but that’s it. Key Lime Pie is just okay
We got there at 4:15 for pizza. There was no wait for a table. We no longer sat down when we were asked what are you drinking. She brought the drinks out quickly and took our order. Ok, we like to enjoy our company, two couples, but we felt so rushed. She kept returning and asking if everything was OK, are you finished with that, can I take your plate, do you need a box? Really, let us enjoy our food and company. Stop rushing us.
The food was well prepared. We ate on the well shaded patio since we had our puppy with us. However, there was a fee for paying with a credit card. It was not disclosed until after paying the bill and gratuity. Being in the Keys, we expected the food to be expensive and it is pricey at No Name Pub. The fee is a “got-cha” since much of the business during the season is tourist.
Excellent spot to stop off the trail. Food was super good and the server was TOP NOTCH! we’ve been here a few times on our way down to key west. Added bonus to stop and eat after you look for mini deer. Was sad the outside hut wasn’t open bc of construction . But overall great!
Incredible service from abbie! Helping us choose what to get and recommending her favourites, (which we’re absolutely perfect choices) will be telling people about this for a long time, food was devine, couldnt fault a thing. Quick service and so reasonably priced too, amazing portion sizes and the quality was excellent!
No name pub is a fun place. The food is good very good. The staff is very friendly. There is an untold amount of dollar bills plastered to the walls and hanging from the ceiling, beams, and basically any surface that can be covered. The clientele is varied, but I wouldn’t call it diverse. There are some interesting sites within the restaurant, mostly in terms of customers.
This place is the best!!! We always have to make the stop when we are in town!!
Stopped in for a drink. Had chips and pico too. The pico was fantastic. Not only did we see several key deer while in Big Pine we also met Sam. She is an absolute delight. Told us history of the island, and some stuff about herself. No Name is lucky to have her!

We decided to drive down to Big Pine Key from Islamorada (about an hour drive) and see the key deer and have a late lunch at the No Name Pub. Points of interest: * We saw a dozen or so key deer as we were driving through the neighborhood of Big Pine on our way to No Name. They were not afraid of us and we got some cute pics from the car. * No Name only serves beer and wine. That was fine for us. * The inside looked and smelled clean. No strong bleach or stale beer smell. We were not sure what to expect from a pub. * The inside area is rather small but they do have an outside area as well. * Two surprises. The first was our waitress, Katie. She was fun, energetic, and lots of personality. She turned a good experience into a great experience. We brought dollar bills to sign and staple to the walls. She brought out a box of colorful markers to customize them. She also gave us some good recommendations on food. * The second surprise was the food. Based on Katie’s recommendations we order the fish dip and chicken wings (bourbon glaze). Both might have been the best we’ve ever had. Really good. Other items (like their pizza) looked real good as well. The table next to us had some positive comments on their pizza. As most people know before you go there that there are thousands of dollar bills stapled to the walls, ceilings, columns, and beams. It is amazing seeing so many. They estimated $800,000 in singles stapled throughout. We had a very positive experience and would recommend this place to friends and family
Honestly the food was really good and the service was fast and friendly. Cost was within reason. White shrimp pizza was really good. As well as the ceviche
Been coming here for 35+ years during mini season week at least 2 to 3 times per vacation. After a 45 minute drive from Marathon tonight, we were turned away at 8:30pm by a restaurant who closes at 10pm along with numerous other families who also noted the staff was incredibly rude and couldn’t care less. It was take out or nothing! Long standing tradition ended just like that, how disappointing. Don’t bother!
Chatchie behind the bar is amazing! The best pizza on the island for sure! The vibe is off the hook and the people are beautiful !
Wonderful spot. We have been coming here for many years with our family. Great food and excellent service. Our waitress Tya was amazing.
