I’ve been to many hot pot restaurants, and this was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve had.

From the moment we walked in, the owner was extremely hostile and hyper, which created a tense and uncomfortable environment. The sauce station was dirty and unorganized, which completely took away from the authentic hot pot experience. For a restaurant charging $43 per person (after tax and the tip they automatically include), the quality and cleanliness were disappointing.

The buffet section was very limited, with fewer options than expected for the price. There were no drink refills, even for soft drinks, which feels cheap considering how much you’re already paying.

To make things worse, my friend tried a tiny piece of food from a plate to see if they wanted to try the hot pot, and the owner and staff started yelling at us, even though I hadn’t touched anything. It was incredibly aggressive and humiliating. Instead of calmly explaining their policy, they treated us with unnecessary disrespect.

We were also being watched by staff the entire time, which made it feel like we weren’t welcome or trusted. It completely ruined what should have been a relaxing dinner.

Hot pot is supposed to be a fun, communal experience — this place was the opposite. I will never return and definitely do not recommend it.

I had such a great experience at 818 Heat in Boca Raton! This place combines Korean BBQ and hot pot, which makes it super fun and interactive perfect for a night out with friends or even a casual date night.

The vibe is modern, clean, and lively, and the staff was incredibly helpful explaining everything, especially if it’s your first time doing hot pot or table grilling. The meat quality was really good, the broths were flavorful, and the dipping sauces added such a nice touch. I also loved that they had a wide variety of veggies, noodles, and add-ons.

Portions are generous, and everything is super fresh. We left full and happy. I definitely recommend 818 Heat if you're in the area and want something different, tasty, and fun to share!

I came here in a group of 14 for my friend’s birthday and everything was so good!! We all can’t wait to go back. Everything was delicious and the service was very good!

One of the best hotpot experiences I’ve had in a long time. The broths are packed with flavor, and everything feels really fresh. Instead of a buffet, they bring the meats right to your table, which makes the whole experience feel cleaner and more upscale—while still being all-you-can-eat.

The hot sauce bar is awesome, with tons of options to mix your own. Plus, there’s a great variety of mushrooms, noodles, and veggies. You can tell they put thought into every part of the setup.

Definitely a 10 out of 10. I’ll be coming back for sure.

harassed us for our tipping amount when leaving! my bf and i had the worst experience where the waiter and waitress got our order wrong THREE TIMES!! we ate food we didn't even want... they also seated us next to a couple where we were so close, we could hear everything they were saying although it was an open vacant space with many tables available. for the pricing per person $26 for korean bbq, very limited options for desserts and other foods. if u strictly want kbqq or strictly hotpot, then it's worth for you. i'm not coming back again after that confrontational encounter... owners are not nice people. i'll be going to the coral springs kbqq where u get a bang for ur buck, diverse options, and the people treat u well.

We love this place so much, we can't count how many times we've eaten here. We always bring our friends to show them our favorite hot pot place, but last night I was so disappointed. We went for karaoke and usually they charge 10$ per person for karaoke, and last time they even charged 30$ total and that was 5 people. So with confidence we went there to celebrate my birthday with my friends, it was 6 people. And we really shocked when we saw the bill at the end, they charged 300$! And I was like how can 30$ become 300$??? It was my fault I guess, didn't ask the price first, but this is not the first time we went there and my husband knows the owner. I feel like, how come he didn't tell us if the price changed or maybe when we paid cheap it was a friend price not the regular price or whatever. I really feel disappointed and I promise I will never ever step my feet in this restaurant again!!

Not impressed, for $38 a person this was subpar. Definitely not worth the price. This is a $25-28 place at best, wildly overpriced. The service was ok. The atmosphere and location was just alright nothing great, nothing bad. $8 for a Mediocre house wine. The only upside was the watermelon.
