One of the worst restaurant experiences ever!! The restaurant is uncomfortably loud as all the tv's had FSU college football game on with TV's at FULL volume PLUS they had a DJ simultaneously blasting music! Mind numbing experience. We had a 7:00 reservation and seated on-time yet never received ANY food till 8:45!! Then it came out individually over another 10-15 minutes. The manager should just be fired immediately because he has no people skills and thought arguing with a customer that it was a busy night as an excuse and offering a free dessert for 12 people was an acceptable response to having people including kids not eat for almost 2 hours. if you are reading reviews deciding on whether to patronize American Social- trust me there are soooo many better choices on every level! Moreover, after almost nonexistent service the server felt it still appropriate to add a 20% gratuity and not tell us so when handed the cc handheld it showed the tip % choices and signature page but when toggling the tip was already added. Did they think we wanted to further reward the horrible service and experience with a larger gratuity than the 20% that was grossly over compensated? American Social as a chain should be embarrassed by the performance and mismanagement of 12 patrons who know 50 other patrons plus all who read this! Terrible representation of the brand!

My husband and I came to this restaurant on Sunday 11/1 for an anniversary lunch. The food was exceptional and the vibes were great. My biggest issue with the ye place was the staff... our waitress seemed distant and was very inattentive. We were brought silverware and water from a different waitress after our appetizer order was placed. For the price point and the location, I would imagine the service to meet the level you would expect.

The food was delicious, but there was one wine and one entrée we wanted from the menu that they did not have, It was difficult for them to process the OpenTable Rewards Card, but they ultimately worked it out. We had an enjoyable time.

The food was good, but the service was very slow. It took about 20 minutes to receive our first drinks, and when we ordered another round before dinner, those drinks didn't arrive until after we had finished eating. When the manager stopped by to check on us, we mentioned that the drinks had just arrived after our plates were cleared. He offered dessert or to top off the untouched drinks, but we declined. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but the service experience was disappointing.

Supposedly an FSU bar. We've been going every weekend to watch the games yesterday no volume on TVs for FSU game. We were told many excuses first we only have volume for “big” games really???? It's a FSU bar no volume??? Then they tried getting volume walking around in circles with iPad. Don't call yourself an FSU bar and not have volume for EVERY game FSU plays win or loose. Extremely disappointing and we weren't the only people complaining. No the place wasn't packed with FSU people but my table of 8 plus people at the bar and multiple tables around the bar was enough. Again it's an FSU bar do whatever you have to, to get the volume on.

Arrogant attitude from the staff. I made an inside reservation for two and was told there's a $500 per table minimum. Are you kidding me? The menu has changed and now it's basically just salads, finger foods, and sandwiches. Definitely not what it used to be. We left and went elsewhere. The last time I was there at 6:15 most of inside tables were empty and was told they were reserved for 7:00pm reservations.

I understand if the restaurant is understaffed and the employees are overwhelmed, but the attitude given by the staff was unacceptable. Our main waitress was not the issue, she was very pleasant. It was the other staff that did not appropriately handle the situation.

It's a fun upbeat mix that didn't distract from our business meeting. The food was delicious and served hot. Phoenix was our server and she did a great job being professional and attentive yet not pushy.
Try the chicken wings, I know you can get them everywhere but these were especially good! The salad bowls are especially good too. Poke bowl especially!
You can't beat the extensive cocktail list (and any of their cocktails can be made mocktail!)
I will definitely be going back when it's not a business meeting!

Great food, great service, great experience! I went with a large group of people and many others did as well. A little bit chilly inside, as well as pretty noisy. But the outside is where this restaurant truly shines - there are several nice booths and corners outside. I will probably be coming back to try the outside! It is definitely a good idea to get reservations like we did if you want to sit inside.
