Manager told us to wait on a 5:00 reservation we didn't even get sitting at our table till 5:10 with an open restaurant They took an extra few minutes to wipe down all the menus before they gave them to us something I think should have been done at 3:00 or when the staff arrives prepping all the menus. They're not that busy There was a $7.50 up charge on fried rice. On meals that were costing between $42 and $55. Manager came by at the end of the meal and checked on the ovens on both the table next to us and ours and didn't speak a word or even ask how our evening was. This is a missed opportunity to engage with customers to get a genuine feedback on their experience. We ordered specialty dinners including the white rice that didn't arrive till we were completely done with the dinner After we were all waiting and done for dinner we asked the waiter (Collin) if there was ice cream included with our specialty dinners. He asked us the question who had specialty dinners he's the one who took the order he should know. Our cook was a really nice guy he was personable and he did really well. I think our waiter was distracted with too many other things singing happy birthday with tambourines and other tables and missing out serving us properly. The preparation of the food was a little disorganized forgetting some of the menu items that were ordered until literally everyone else was finished their meal. One of our guests in our party didn't get their chicken till after we were all completely even done.

After spending numerous birthdays there, I was quite disappointed in the quality of the food. Steak even filets were tough to chew. Steamed rice was way undercooked and hard. The quantity was subpar, though the chef tried to engage it took main server quite some time to get back to us. Needed refills but only 1 person got it. Though your hostess was amazing and extremely kind and courteous. Won't be going back anytime soon.

1 order of filet mignon, so bad only ate 2 pieces, overcooked and very chewey 1 order of Benihana delight, some shrimp weren't cooked enough

They overbook the restaurant. I made a reservation for 6 and the chef didn't come to our table until 7:20. They should serve the tables according to the reservation time, not according to the walk in time. The service was also very poor. Nobody seemed to know what they were doing. Drinks took forever w many errors. Not refilling the water. Didn't bring the soup or salad for a long time. Didn't get a shrimp appetizer at all. The room where we were sitting was a storage room for extra carts, so the ambience was poor. Also, the room was not clean. Never again !!!!!

Great experience for kids but for the price, the food quality it's awful and keeps going downhill. The filet quality is almost not edible.

Kudos to the staff at Benihana Boca Raton. Our entire experience should be documented in how to execute customer service at the highest level and how to treat customers. We arrived for our 9:45PM reservation at 9:50PM. We understood we were late and were prepared to be turned away as the restaurant closed at 10PM. We approached the hostess and she was happy we arrived for our reservation. She was gracious and pleasant and sat us immediately. We were the only customers in the restaurant, but the staff treated us as though the restaurant had just opened and not about to close. The server who took our order was transparent about what was available and what wasn't available from the menu. The entire staff had a pleasant look on their faces and accommodated our allergy requests. The entire experience was the best dinner experience I've had in a very long time at a Benihana. The management team deserves to be recognized for the environment that has been created for employees to be willing to stay a bit later than normal to accommodate guests and to have a smile while serving the guests. Our entire experience from beginning to end was perfect. Thank You to the management team and the staff at this location for your professionalism, smiling faces, and top level service. We will be back soon. The experience was a masterclass in customer service.

Our server Juan was EXCELLENT and we really enjoyed our Chef Gabe! He was very friendly and professional. He did an AWESOME job preparing our food. We had many dietary restrictions and he made sure to communicate frequently to ensure that everyone was served correctly. We will come back and ask for Juan and Gabe! AWESOME job guys! Thank you so very much for making my son's 18th Birthday Dinner Celebration special! 👍🏽

They didn't have enough cooks so we waited over an hour to start cooking food. It was ridiculous!!

Was extremely loud. Server was ok. The chef was not engaging. Food was not great. We had the fillet mignon , lobster and shrimp. Not for me.

It was a great experience for my Son's 10th birthday celebration. Food, service, and ambience was great.

When we got to the restaurant, we were not greeted by the miserable hostesses. Even with a reservation, we ended up waiting a half hour for a table even though they sent out the automated text that the table was ready. When asked why we had this text if it wasn't ready, the staff were snooty with me. Then, our server brought out wagyu steaks on black cardboard and tried to sell them before telling us that they would serve those steaks if someone ordered them. Furthermore, the service was super slow and our soup and salad did not arrive until the chef was ready to start cooking. Also, our server forgot the three white rice portions that were ordered until told to get them by the chef, and at that point we had pretty much finished our meal. The positive was that Jean, our chef, was very nice, friendly, and accommodating. Also, the food that he cooked was good.

A wonderful dining experience for 4 of us . Everyone enjoyed their hibachi dinners. We all ordered different choices. .all delicious. Service outstanding...great energy...look forward to the next visit.

We arrived on time for our reservation. We waited 45 minutes before we ordered and another 15 minutes until the chef came to start cooking. Also, I ordered a glass of wine which had something floating in it. They took it away but it then took at least 10 minutes to get the replacement. I have liked Benihana over the years but this was a terrible experience. I won't be going back anytime soon.

Adolfo, our chef was outstanding. The food and his humor was great and he made our birthday experience very special. However, the service provided by Lisa was subpar. We had to remind her about everything and she did not check on us. We asked about getting a sauce that we always get and she said the sauce does not exist and when I asked again, she said she would check and did not check. When I asked the manager and then her again, we got the sauce. I don't understand why there had to be a lie involved. The manager was helping everyone and thankful to her, we got a lot of things that we needed and questions answered. We will not be returning to this location for a while as it was not a good experience except for Adolfo and the woman at the bar was also exceptional.
