Black Pearl Boba Tea 2

This place could be so good but it’s so inconsistent. Every time I come here the food is either great or not even fully cooked. I feel like 80% of the people who work here don’t do their jobs, and a lot of the time it’s closed before it is even supposed to close.

Too chemically flavored tea

Service, AWESOME,and last but not least, the details of the building are AWESOME. The boba and the dumplings are SO delicious. This place is our long bike ride refresher.

We really enjoyed this place. The staff were very friendly. We got there 15 minutes early, but they let us in anyway. The food was really yummy. We had the pork and spicy beef dumplings. The sauce of soy sauce, hot sauce, and sugar was delicious. My husband had the mango tea which was light and refreshing. He loved it. I had the tiger spun sugar milk tea. It was like dessert. Highly recommend this place.

We went there around 3pm and we ordered a boba drink, Frappuccino, a corn dog and ramen bowls. The drinks were good, no complaints about them. However, we waited 30 minutes (this is not exaggerating, we looked at the time on the receipt when we got our food) and the ramen was lukewarm and the boiled egg was cold like fridge cold. The service was nonexistent, they got our orders and that’s it, we never saw them again till they came back with our food. If you’re coming here for drinks that’s fine, but don’t get food!!!

Ordered a taro boba tea. It was nauseatingly sweet and I couldn’t finish the drink. The real frustration, though, was the service. It’s clearly staffed by a bunch of high schoolers who want to just hang out together in the back room. I get that — I was in good service as a teenager, too — but it makes for a bad customer experience. Had to wait a while to get my order taken; another long while to ask for the bathroom code; and then the bathroom was out of toilet paper but, again, couldn’t get anyone’s attention to ask about restocking it. Meanwhile there were at LEAST three people working at the time and the shop is tiny.

Don’t order the corndog! Super disappointed. The corn dog didn’t have no dog. It’s just fried cheese on a stick with breading and it’s way smaller than the photo outside. But the boba is great and so are the dumplings. (highly recommend the dumplings)
Update: Was offered free dumplings which is really nice but I do not feel comfortable coming back since the last time I did so the two young ladies decided to converse in another language (which I speak) in a corner instead of greeting us properly. I requested spicy beef dumplings and received normal dumplings(still delicious). Also asked for a large Boba and received a small cup and when I told the cashier that I ordered a large and compared it to the small one on the counter, she proceeded to tell me I was wrong but quickly offered change it, but I just wanted the food and I wanted to leave quickly. Again, thank you very much for the dumplings offer.
