DaVinci's of Boca

We ate at Da Vinci's of Boca Raton on Mother's Day. Although we didn't have a reservation, we were treated very well. The Food choice of the 3 Course Meal was excellent. Ambience was upscale and and elegant. Maitre di was very friendly and polite. Most of all the price was right. We plan to return with our visiting in-laws from Brazil. Erica waited on our table and she was and excellent server. Very attentive with a pleasant smile and demeanor. It was a great Mother's Day experience after church.

Service was pretty good, but I was very disappointed in the short ribs. Tasted and looked like bland dog food. The vegetables were also very under seasoned. They sprinkled garlic powder on the vegetables after they were on the plate, giving it a weird flavor. Coffee was good the first hour. The second hour it was no longer fresh. The octopus appetizer is delicious and so is the scallops with squash ravioli.

Update just tried the Cesar salad, it was very enjoyable. The happy hour is great. The young lady behind the bar is friendly and very knowledgeable. I cannot say enough nice things about her.

I have mixed thoughts. I have been here twice, one time in a business dinner and the other a personal birthday dinner with my family within the same 2 weeks. The business dinner went well, but the birthday did not. I had a lovely call coordinating and confirming my reservation and the staff told me they would bring out a cake for my mom's birthday. It did not happen and wow, I was disappointed. Our waitress took a long time to do everything, and it wasn't even crowded. There were maybe 3 tables on an empty Thursday night. She clearly didn't get the memo about the cake, and honestly, she was lazy. The food was also way too overpriced for what is is. I've had better Italian food. I will likely not go back for this service/food.

Great tasting food, fresh veggies and wonderful coffee. Service is always been excellent. We enjoy going there during lunch time and sitting outside. It's always peaceful!
