After a disappointing visit years ago I decided I wouldn't go back to Fran's. However, I pass it daily and because the current Fran's is now a different owner then when I tried it last - I gave it another shot. The first problem was when I arrived home and realized they forgot to put in the Fran's Sauce and this after I tipped them. The chicken was better quality than most take out places and had a cleaner fresher taste but I didn't care for the coating and it did nothing to enhance the chicken. Fries were basic and boring. I thought Fran's was okay and it certainly was an improvement from years ago.

Probably palm beach county’s best fried chicken. Worth every penny, with great portions. Side note, Fran’s sauce is amazing and hands down the best coleslaw I’ve ever had.

Incredibly delicious. We’re on vacation, and the family kept saying we need to get one of these by us. Everyone loved what they ordered—this is a real local gem.

Who doesn't love Fran's? It is an east Boca staple. Food is always delicious. Service is fast. They are usually busy so a bit rushed and maybe not as "classy" as some people would like but everyone is very nice and it's a fried chicken shop! This is the only place I'll go for fried chicken.

Epic!! My friend has been raving about this place and I heard so much about it from SoFlo foodie groups! We wanted to take a guy visiting from Cali somewhere unique with some southern soul food after picking him up from the nearby beach! My first time too -- adveeenture time!! We went with Louie's Loaded Mashed Bowl + extra gravy. This comes with mashed potatoes, gravy, fried corn nuggets, chicken, cheese and bacon all together in one hot orgie of a bowl! I love the neon sign from the outside and the old-school style that makes this place a historical landmark! They have a few tables but we got to go and munched out at James A. Rutherford Park across the street with some brewski's. Next up on the wishlist are some gizzards and liver!
The best fried chicken anywhere. Worth the trip to Boca. There's a reason they've been there since 1952. Not fancy. At all.

I have been a customer of Frans since the earlier 1980s. We have been out of the area for some time, and tonight was the first time we had Frans in years. It was absolutely amazing, better than I remembered. This is a must for fried chicken lovers. We will once again be regulars. PS their mashed potatoes, Cole slaw, ranch dressing, and gravy are so good order them by the quart. See you next week.

Wow!! Hubby wanted fried chicken and we found it on the way south from Stuart to Fort Lauderdale. People making perfect fried chicken with care and delicious!!! We will be back, even though it’s 50 miles from our house.
