Orders over the phone and that I should come in and order while at the bar.
I drove 7 miles, walked in, sat down at the bar and a very nice bartender came over and handed me a menu. I told him that I would like to order food to take away and that I was told to come in and place the order. No problem he said. Then a second bartender came over and said they do not offer food to take out. At that point I asked to speak to the manager. Cold stone faced woman who I repeated my story to. I said why don’t you bring over the receptionist who told me to drive over. Refused. Very poor way to treat a patron. Houston’s, get your act together and organize your clearly lame staff as to your policies. You lost me as a customer and I will make sure that everyone online knows it.

First time in this restaurant in Boca since we always go to the one in Aventura, the place is very nice, with good service, clean and comfortable. The two times we went we didn't spend more than 5 minutes, the meat, the burger, the appetizers were all very good, the prices in line with the place. I recommend the spinach and artichoke dip, the Caesar salad, the burgers and the meats. It is still one of my favorites in Florida.

Kid-friendliness: We have visited Houston’s in many locations over the years- Never have we encountered such a bad attitude toward our party. We tried to celebrate a birthday including our well behaved 1 year old grandson. Told on the phone that he would be welcome. Upon entry the manager with a scowl told us they didn’t provide high chairs and that we would have to wait for a table. We had reserved. We sat and held the baby - ordered and the food arrived in one minute. Meaning- hurry up and eat and leave. When it was time for desert none was offered - it was noted on the reservation that it was a birthday. No candle on the tiny brownie thrown in the table without care. Houston’s - shame on you! Please do not attempt to celebrate with your living family at this venue. They ruined our evening.
Thankfully we had reservations which helped to reduce the wait. We were greeted by our waiter promptly. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and very engaging. We ordered the Hawaiian Ribeye, Ribs and French Dip Sandwich. Everything was delicious and portions were large for a lunch menu.

I rarely ever give a negative review. This place has the worst service I have ever experienced. Food was over cooked and I was not able to get a new plate. For the price I would have expected better service and properly cooked food.
