We had a two layer cake with classic vanilla cake and fresh strawberry jam fill on the bottom and a second layer with white velvet cake with fresh raspberry jam and cream cheese filling, the outside was a Swiss meringue buttercream. This was our second time ordering a cake with JD Cakes. We were celebrating my mother 70th birthday and she wanted something a little special. Not just your average cake from Publix. JD’s flavor options are endless. My mother chose a white velvet 2 tier cake with raspberry jam and cream cheese filling. The taste was absolutely amazing. For the decoration, we gave her a color scheme and provided the decor accents (flowers, feather, etc.) it came out perfect!

I have driven by J&D cakes for years, but I have never placed an order. Based on the positive reviews, I decided to give them a try for a very special 88th birthday celebration. I had many questions before placing my order. Daniela responded to most of them, but not all questions were answered. The cake was beautiful and very impressive looking. However, the cake was dry and lacked in flavor. Once we cut into the cake, the top layers immediately crumbled to the table. The chocolate ganache was not evenly distributed inside the layers. As I looked around, there was half eaten cake on everyone's plate. Very disappointing, the cake ended up in the garbage.
