Beyond Unacceptable – Worst Restaurant Experience of My Life
If I could give this place negative stars, I would.
Let’s start with the first major issue—they messed up our order. Fine, mistakes happen. But instead of fixing it like any reputable restaurant would, they charged us for both the wrong order and the corrected one. When we calmly pointed out the mistake and asked for the bill to be adjusted, things escalated to an absolutely ridiculous level.
Suddenly, a man—who looked like a full-on gang banger—stormed out from the back. Gold grills, full tattoo sleeves, aggressive attitude—he was clearly more interested in intimidation than customer service. Instead of addressing the issue like a professional, he threatened to call the police on us for even questioning the bill. His reasoning? Since the food was brought to our table, we were obligated to pay for it, even though they got it wrong.
And then, to make matters even worse, the police actually arrived—and to our complete disbelief, they took the restaurant’s side, stating that because we received the food, we were legally required to pay. So essentially, this place can serve you the wrong food, overcharge you, and call the cops if you refuse to go along with their scam.
But it didn’t stop there. While we were trying to talk things through with the police, the bartenders—who we had never even interacted with—decided to cuss us out. Completely unprovoked and unnecessary. And just when we thought we’d seen it all, one of them yelled that they were adding a 20% tip to our bill, since we didn’t tip (for obvious reasons).
This was beyond unprofessional, unethical, and downright disgusting behavior. I dine out every single night, and I can confidently say this was the worst experience I have ever had. I will never be returning, and I strongly advise anyone considering this place to stay far, far away.

Great food and drinks!! Happy hour menu is sooo good, and the happy hour drinks are half off, no complaints here! Got the truffle avocado, lobster and crab rangoons and grahamcracker martini just to name a few and all soooo good. We sat at the bar and Dylan was our bartender for our ladies night and he was so great! Strong drinks and was so quick with making them!

Dylan is an amazing bartender! He paid attention to detail the drinks were tasty. The food is always amazing.
We came in and were welcomed, but then it took a while until we could place an order. Once we did, it took over 40 minutes to recieve 3 most basic rolls one could order like salmon roll or jb tempura roll. The restaurant was not busy AT ALL. Out of over 15 tables, 4 were taken with an average of 2 people per table. One couple next to us just left because of how long it took for a waiter to even come up to them. The food itself was really small. For the price they ask and compared to other places nearby I’ve been to, it’s not worth it.

Horrible experience, the bartender on Monday who opened, a white gentleman who said his name was Dylan was extremely rude!!!! I used to really love this place however after dealing with that same individual on several occasions this place just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I EVER EXPERIENCED!!!!!!

Your bartender that opened Monday he said his name was Dillion he is very rude I don’t know if he takes drugs the way he was acting I’ve been coming here for over two years and every time I go to that bar and he’s there I have a bad experience it was so bad this time I didn’t even want finish my drink or put in my order even my girlfriend felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave he could tell he was making us feel unwelcome and he didn’t care

Such a great experience. The food was a 10 out of 10. I had the lobster & crab rangoon, and the hidden dragon roll. I also tried the lamb chop, and their fried rice served with salmon. For drinks, I had a lychee dragonberry. Everything was absolutely scrumptious. I can’t wait to go back!
Parking: They have their own parking lot right behind the restaurant, which made it very convenient.

We started with the wonton soup, a warm and comforting bowl of perfectly seasoned broth with tender wontons—a must-have for these cooler days. The bang bang shrimp followed, offering a delightful balance of crispy and creamy with just the right kick of spice. The wagyu gyoza melted in our mouths, while the steak hibachi fried rice was smoky, flavorful, and satisfying.
The star of the night was the cheesy tteokbokki, a Korean twist packed with umami and gooey cheese—pure comfort food. The lobster dynamite was indulgent, with sweet, buttery lobster and a dynamite sauce that truly lived up to its name. We ended the meal on a sweet note with mochi ice cream, a light and refreshing dessert that hit all the right spots.

My fiancé, our friends and I LOVE Kanpai. Their food is fantastic and the ambience is amazing. Last time we were there we took my dad out for dinner for his birthday. He absolutely love the food, the restaurant, and our amazing server Iliana. She was so so amazing. My dad loves to joke around with people and she picked up on his humor right away. She helped make my dad’s birthday dinner even more special. She’s definitely an asset to Kanpai. So thank you Iliana and Kanpai for making our night so wonderful. We hope to see Iliana again when we go back!
