Place shut down due to Covid-19. Owner couldn't afford rent and moved back to Italy

This is some of the best gelato or ice cream in Southeast Florida. It is very authentic, and is ultimately amazing. I recommend a nut flavor like pistachio or hazelnut, but every flavor I've tried I've liked.

Craving a sweet treat after a late lunch, I made my way over for some authentic Italian gelato. Walking in, my eyes were drawn immediately to the orange walls filled with musical notes. I then proceed to the counter and started to peruse all the flavors available for the day. At the time that I came, I'd say there was about 18 available flavors and the server was definitely knowledgeable in all of them. After trying a few, my eyes were drawn to a menu showing potential gelato/espresso combinations available. Would an affogato be something possible here? Well yesiree it was. I ordered a simple dark chocolate gelato with a splash of espresso - a mocha creation fitting for my palate and my company ordered a caffe tiramisu - with the classic straciatella for the gelato instead of the mascarpone however. Both was pretty yum and definitely filled the sweet cravings. The only negative I would say is the pricing as both of these babies totaled over $15 - but I guess pretty typical for a boca spot. It's a good place to sit and catch up with a friend as well, especially on a nice afternoon. I'd probably just come for either just a gelato or just an espresso next time though.

Great gelato , especially hazelnut.. too bad the scoop they serve is so small ; for $5,00 you would expect a nice filled cone.

Delicious and fresh. Best ice cream in downtown Boca.

Super creamy gelato and unique flavors. I had the ricotta caramel figs flavor and I wanted to buy a whole gallon. The coffee is delicious too!

Hazelnut and pistachio flavors were very good and flavorful. Texture pretty good. A bit expensive but good.

Absolutely love the gelato at La Gelateria. I'm very picky with fruit flavors because I like my gelato to be fresh and tart, which is exactly what it's like here at La Gelateria. At the grocery store, I usually get the raspberry Talenti which is as good as it gets for store brand. The raspberry gelato here at La Gelateria is very reminiscent of the sweet and sour flavor that I experience with Talenti, but it's even better! There's nothing synthetic about the raspberry gelato as you even get seeds in your scoops. I also tried the pistachio gelato which was quite pleasant. I wish I would have tried the strawberry one as well, but I'm sure I'll be back! We got 3 small gelato cups and paid about $20 - so that's about $6.50 an offering. While I felt that the small was just right to not over indulge, I did find the price a little up there for how small it was.

OMG, this has to be one of the best and the most authentic gelato places I've been to (and I've been to quite a few) We tried a few flavors but bacio and coffee were my favorite- so good, will be back tomorrow for sure. It's hidden gem - must try! PS - beware that if you feed your Gremlins (children) coffee flavored gelato, you will end up paying dearly all night.
