Food over cooked, not served hot. Three hour ordeal instead of the celebration were to experience. Called and asked for candles on daughter’s dessert for special occasion, name given to the proprietor and related and no show. This has been our go to place for almost 20 years but the expansion and poor service will be long remembered. Sorry not special anymore!

Food was good.

This was our first time to Le Rivage and the food is terrific. Our server had to attend to a large party and was slow to respond. Other wait staff took over and we spent two and a half hours without coffee. We were okay as we have not seen our friends in a year, so the dining time was okay. We will definitely go back as it is a great French bistro.

They told us they did not have the cold fois gras as they ran out of it the day before. Next, they told us they ran out of bread and were waiting for a delivery. They served toasted white bread with the escargot and foie gras. When I was almost done with the escargot, they finally brought out some bread We ordered duckling with cherries, and when we asked for a container, we also asked for a small container to bring home some of the cherry sauce. The waitperson told us they do not have containers to bring home sauce. The new owner decided not to offer them.

Just a great little French joint in Boca food is very good services. Outstanding good ambience, except for the New Yorkers that are rude.

Restaurant staff was overwhelmed. We could not get in the front door. Tables for 2 were empty but staff did not seat anyone there. We left about an hour after our reservation and never got any courtesy or food. We will not be back. Previously went to this restaurant for many years but never saw this level of disfunction. Talk around front door was that this was the last day of the only experienced server---she had resigned.

BEWARE !!! New Chef/owner! Dined there 4 weeks ago, a great evening. Excellent food and service. Last night, a fiasco! New ownership and new Chef ? They opened up an additional bay for added tables. No additional waiters. Too long to bring courses and sat with dirty dishes for 25 minutes between each course. Onion soup not the same. Used to be made with Gruyere cheese now tastes like Swiss. Duck not crispy. Shrimp scampi served with uncooked pasta! The delicious French Tart is no more. Mushy not flaky dough ! Been going to Le Rivage for over 10 years. No more. A very bad experience and embarrassed for the first time friends we brought! Never going back.

THe owner/manager was in Miami when we went to Le Rivage. It was Valentine's evening and needless to say it was very hectic. Our Waitress was totally overwhelmed having 11 tables to wait on. The food was not hot and tough. The restaurant was totally unorganized. We would never go back.

This was a busy Valentine's Day evening. I was glad we had made our reservation for an earlier time. Clear that the staff felt overwhelmed but we were happy with drinks and waiting for delicious food. There were a few brew items on the menu. We always chose the complete dinner option. I started with oysters gratinee and DH took the onion soup. Both excellent. A lovely salad is included. Both of us chose the swordfish with a red pepper sauce, which is also new to the menu. The sides of mashed potatoes, carrot soufflé, and spinach remain the same. We always opt for the floating island for dessert, a choice seen only here and a treat for us. The wine list is mostly French and we had a nice pouilly fosse. Not an inexpensive evening but we feel worth the price.

I heard that the restaurant is under new ownership. They added many more tables so it is now noisy. We did not have one waiter or bus boy everyone seemed to work every table. The plates from our main course were removed but the empty wine glasses and unused silverware remained on the table. We had a 7PM reservation and they seated us without ever asking our name. The ran out of one of our favorite main dish liver with onions. This is a restaurant that we liked to go to to celebrate special occasions. We were celebrating two birthdays but it was never acknowledged. They did acknowledge a birthday at the next table. They need to get their act together.

A genuinely traditional French restaurant with a comprehensive menu always perfectly cooked.Whilst I always try and visit severance times during my annual vacation I have to say that the decor is extremely dated and overdue at least freshening up.Nevertheless if you're looking for wonderful authentic French cuisine you will not find better in the area.

New owners have changed this quaint local gem into an over packed, understaffed disappointment. They have added so many tables there's no room to walk between. Our food was tasty but not hot. Service was not good. We used to come regularly, that will not be the case going forward.
