I called Shen’s Peking to order food for lunch. I called to takeout some Wonton Soup and Fried Rice and I got SCREAMED AT ON THE PHONE!!! The lady was not only rude but refused my service! On top of that, she called me an A**HOLE and a B**CH!! And last of all, SHE WOULD NOT LET ME USE THE BATHROOM!!! I almost pooped myself outside the store but the nice grocery store next door allowed me to use the bathroom. When ordering food, she thought to make a funny joke about Wonton soup, saying “Wonton, twoton, or threaten, soup” after I asked to cater for a funeral. I will NEVER come here again.
My husband and I have be coming to Shen's Peking for years. In fact, we now live in Fort Lauderdale but drive up to Boca just to eat here. What's lacking in decor is made up in the flavors of the food. We've eaten almost everything off the menu and have never been disappointed. Shen's Peking is from a different era--an old-school Chinese eatery where food is the star. It is one-of-a-kind and a real treat if you enjoy food made with love.

I came here for lunch with my grandfather today. The food is pretty much standard Chinese food and nothing to write home about, but I do think I'll be back. I had the lunch special, and that's what I'd recommend to anyone.
I been getting take out from shens for quite some time but not anymore. I saw an employee drop the utensils on the floor and picked it right up, did not attempt to clean it. Food is average, ill find another place

MR. SHEN'S PEKING CHINESE FOOD in Boca Raton RUINED BY NEW MANAGEMENT & CHEFS! After 12-years of eating in, and buying take-out food from Mr. Shen's PEKING, MY GUEST AND I HAD THE WORST MEAL EVER last night! We both ordered our "usual" DINNERS: Chicken with Eggplant; one with hot & sour soup; one Wonton Soup, both with fried rice & eggroll. The WONTON SOUP was a brown & horrific tasting soup with NO chicken-base making it uneatable; the FREID RICE was just overdone brown rice; but WORST: The CHICKEN & EGGPLANT had tons of (newly added) red & green peppers, and almost NO EGGPLANT & CHCKEN and that too was too awful to eat!! Last time we’ll be buying food from this ONCE-GREAT restaurant!!
Shen’s is a good choice if you’re hungry and don’t require fancy surroundings and prices. Food is consistent, the staff cordial and the prices reasonable.

We order from this restaurant specifically because you can ask to leave the onions out of the fried rice. This will be the last time, Which is a shame because we have been going to this restaurant for about 5 years now. My mother-in-law whose first language is Spanish, called to place an order. As she was placing the order, the woman that answered the phone stopped her and told her "you need to stop doing that!" I took the phone and asked her what the problem is, to which she replied "she keeps ordering different things and asking for egg drop soup"! Not once to be order soup. The truth of the matter is that the lady who took our order is the one that couldn't understand what was being said and very Angrily And rudely took it out on my mother-in-law. When my husband got there to pick up the food her excuse was that they were understaffed. Customer service goes a long way. If you don't understand someone that is fine, but don't be rude to your customers, especially your loyal ones.

I'm a veggie, and I wanted the menu item, Soy Chicken, but it is no longer available. The waitress said the Tofu was just as good, it was NOT.I got fried rice that was Not veggieThe place was tired looking, and the menu prices are scratched out and written over. They don't even have Sweet and Sour Pork, which my wife tried to order.

My wife and I came here for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We came in about 5:30pm and were greeted by a friendly waitress who said we could order from the Happy Hour Menu. Those meals included an egg roll, fried rice, and choice of soup for about $16.50 each, which is very reasonable. Our waitress put down a pot of Chinese tea. Then she gave us each an egg roll with noodles for our soup. The hot and sour and egg drop soups were very good. Then we were brought chicken and broccoli and cashew chicken. Both dishes were very good. I thought the dishes were slightly luke warm and could've have been hotter. The booth we had was very comfortable and the atmosphere was very nice with Chinese murals on the wall. At the end of our meal we were each given a fortune cookie and chocolate candy. We had a lot leftover which the waitress packed for us.Good food, goods service, good prices, and nice atmosphere. We will be back!

Cute place until I saw a literal roach. I hate to be write this but this place was dirty and the food was really blend unfortunately. The waiters were nice but the food and cleanliness of the restaurant was absolutely atrocious. If you're ok with getting E. Coli, this place is for you.

I just went for the first time and I wanted a fried rice without egg (because of allergies) and the lady told us that they couldn’t do that, I was disappointed because I really wanted to try try it.
