Novella is one of those neighborhood gems. Friendly, great food, excellent service, good drinks. The octopus app was as good as my wife had ever eaten. Ricotta gnocchi, Caesar salad, and seafood on capelleti were all outstanding. Novella deserves the devoted crowd it regularly attracts.

This was our first wine tasting experience at Novello's. From beginning to end, everything was very well appointed. This month's tasting was for French wines and most were elevated bottles, not your average run to the store wines. All of the dishes were delicious and we were given courses that we haven't tried ourselves when dining here. The wine representative was very informative too.

Every dish we had was really superb. But let's start off with our first dish, which was drinks from the bar. The bartender was spectacular. I had an old-fashioned and my wife had a margarita. Fresh squeezed lemons makes all the difference.

I will also say although not a dish having a live piano player was just a nice touch that put it over the top.
