I thought I was going crazy when I sat down and noticed how little food I had from the last time. I asked this nice guy, he said it’s actually a new smaller bowl as pointed at the bigger on the wall they used to have 🤦🏻‍♀️😂
I wouldn’t of minded if raised the prices a bit, it’s still affordable but to give you less food and not be satisfied? Side note- new bowl protrudes out on the sides making it look bigger then notice it’s tiny in the middle. lol it’s a shame because everyone is soooo nice there and the food is great !! 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you're a fan of reheated food, this place might just be your culinary haven. The offerings are often presented with that nostalgic, slightly soggy vibe that comes with items made in advance and then reheated for your convenience. Whether it’s the chicken, the falafel, or the rice dishes, you’ll find the comfort of flavors that have mellowed and merged through the magic of time and heat. For those who love the taste of leftovers, you’re in for a treat!

However, I do have a notable gripe – the falafel. Unfortunately, the falafel balls here fall short of the mark due to their unfortunate reincarnation in the fryer. These little chickpea or fava bean delights should never see a second dip in the oil. Refrying them results in a tough, overly greasy exterior that masks the delicately spiced, fluffy interior. The proper way to make falafel is to fry them just once, to achieve that perfect crispy outside and tender, airy inside.

Authentic falafel should be made fresh from a mixture of soaked (not fried twice) chickpeas, herbs, spices, and a touch of onion and garlic. After forming the mixture into small balls or patties, they should be fried until golden and crisp, but only once, allowing the inside to remain moist and flavorful without the excess oil that comes from reheating. So while the reheated dishes might hit the spot for those nostalgic for leftovers, the falafel definitely deserves more attention to detail, and should never be reheated or refried.

If you're on the hunt for perfect falafel, you might need to look elsewhere, but if you're all about that reheated, comfort food lifestyle, this place has your back.

This was my first time eating at Olive U. My doctor recently told me to eat Medeterian foods only because of a fatty liver. I can't believe how delicious the food is. No salt but flavored so tasty. There is only one problem. it's almost an hour from where I live. As long as the gas stations have Petro, I'll be here. The staff is soooo incredibly nice. I'll be back, God willing.

My daughter walked out crying bc the woman behind the register, said something that made her feel incredibly UNCOMFORTABLE. NOT APPROPRIATE ANYWHERE, let alone a place that serves 4 different versions of gross rice.

Ok so let me start off by saying they know me by name now with the frequency of my visits here. The manager Emma is almost always working and there with a smile and pleasant conversation. Everyone is super friendly and helpful, service is fast, and of course the food is delish!!!! Don’t sleep on this place :)

This was my first time eating from the Olive U. Today I tried the Olive U in Boca Ratón on Glades Road. I brought my kids, sister, aunt and mother. We totally enjoyed the experience. The weather was good and the location was in a very good spot. The staff was amazing. Special shout out to Courtney and Emma, who checked on us while we were there. The food was excellent. Looking forward to eating here again.

Seriously delicious, fresh, and well-priced! You pick your base (you can combine a lot of them), a protein, and then the toppings you want. Lots of the toppings are included which is nice.

Everything was very fresh and the flavors were excellent. All the employees were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Indoor and outdoor seating. It’s a solid menu that’s great for people with all tastes. Good for vegetarians!

An Alternate Perspective

I’ve been to this location twice and the food has been exceptional for fast casual. However, this place deserves more than 5 stars because of Emma!
I don’t know if she’s a manager, but she deserves the highest of accolades from whomever her boss is for her customer services skills and going above and beyond!
