Rex Baron Survivors Kitchen And VR Lounge

Unfortunately, Rex Baron was closed for renovations when we got to the door, so no Open Table reservations I had previously made for that time /night /date would open their door. My visiting grandkids were very disappointed so wound up eating in another Boca Town center restaurant True Kitchen. Wish Open Table knew when restaurants are closed so we couldn't make that mistake again. We are very long time users of Open Table but haven't used our rewards.

We were delightfully surprised with Rex Baron! The themed decor is just creatively, artistically & thematically spectacular!!! Well done!! And the food!! We like to eat healthy and there are plenty of options available. Everything we ordered was fresh, tasty and delectable!!

Our waiter checked on us once. Did not feel like the great customer service we always get. Our VR guy was exceptional. Reconsidering not coming back for a while. We can get better service for less money.

What a great place! I was so many times right next door at Nordstrom and had no idea about this restaurant! What an unique place, what an amazing themed restaurant - so cool just to be there! It has so many cool fun sport activities, virtual reality lounge and board games - fun for the adults and the kids. The meals are the art presentation and unbelievable heavenly delicious - a huge credit to the chef! We couldn`t even choose whose meal was the best! My son had a fun experience cooking on the rock and his skirt steak was melting in the mouth with such a great taste of fire. The customer service was a top match - our big thank you to our waiter Thiago and his a great helper Nicki - what a friendly and professional team! Such an amazing place and it became my favorite since now on! Definitely will be back!

Interesting menu, good mix of items, we had salmon and an appetizer, both were very tasty and well prepared. Bar staff was excellent, service was level was high. Will go again.

Wow!!! It’s the best way to describe this restaurant! Amazing one of kind place. The food is delicious and beautifully put together, the decor and the stories behind the characters is thrilling and make the experience so unique but the icing on the top is CARTER!! She’s the funniest most efficient friendly and kind waitress I’ve met. When you go to the one at the mall in Boca ask to meet her! She’ll tell you the stories of the characters and the behind the scenes details as well ? love this place, highly recommended!

Rex Baron is absolutely incredible!! We make our way down to Boca as often as we can and obviously every restaurant on Mother's Day is usually booked, but we stumbled upon this incredibly unique restaurant and were amazed by its post apocalyptic steam punk decor. It is like a museum in itself. To our surprise we were able to get seated and oh my what an amazing restaurant!! From the decor, to the cool 80s 90s techno mix type of music, the best service, and food experience. We were truly blown away by this restaurant!!I had the salmon dish, with roasted potatoes, broccoli, and cremini mushrooms. Absolutely delicious! My husband and son both had the 8 Oz filet, with roasted potatoes, a few different types of seasonings, and sauces, and did the full "experience " where they bring it out partially cooked with a hot lava stone, and you finish it off the way you prefer. It was incredibly delicious! My husband said he was glad he did the experience instead of them cooking it in the kitchen. Our daughter had chicken fingers and said they were her favorite.After your dinner, or even before, you can enjoy their virtual reality gaming room! Seriously the most unique restaurant we've been too!! This was definitely a great and unique find. We plan on coming back and highly recommend this restaurant. From the atmosphere, service, food, it was amazing!

So this place is definitely unique the atmosphere very chill and there are activities to do inside like VR, and board games, the food is good for their specialty items!! , I would not recommend this place if you want to stay safe and just get a burger as you'll leave unimpressed. Make sure you choose what's unique from there and you'll definitely enjoy this place.Price is really high end specially if you just ordering bar food (burger and fries) are about 20$ , and is not a staying portion either.The staff is great, the location is really good, parking is free since is inside the mall.

Rex Baron was really an unexpected experience. The place is SO COOL. I mean what they spent on décor must have been insane! Futuristic meets Mad Max meets high end bar and lush salon. Wow! And the food was great too. The stake "nachos" were different enough to be their own creation with steak on top of house made potato chips and all the fixins. Salads were yummy and wings were crispy and juicy. We will be back to try the VR and grab some eats again on our next trip to Boca.

Fantastic place for a work outing. We tried the VR lounge and I personally enjoyed it. The host is nice, helpful, and patient.We had a surprise visit with 12 people, and he closed the area for us and patiently explained the games, the types of headsets, and set each of us up one by one. He even helped me with some VR products. I really enjoyed my conversation with him.The food is good, literally everything on the menu is amazing. The steaks with the heated stone looked great, I had the Salmon and it was good with the asperagus. The smoked shots were good from what I heard. The golf by the food table was enjoyable.

We ate outside so the noise level was quiet. Food and drinks were spot on. Good happy hour, too. Our server, "T" was great. That's what we call him 'cause I keep forgetting his name. ?

It took quite a while to have a waitress approach us. My husband and our friends went to the bar to get us drinks. I finally had to go to the bar to get some lemon for my water. I had asked the waitress three times. When we finally said something to our waitress she became very defensive and said she had done nothing wrong. Her attitude was very poor. Our food was delicious and let me say clearly we love Rex Baron. The waitress, Carly, soured our experience this time.
