Always a good experience at 818. Love their Cantonese steamed food… it’s not on the cart like in NY Chinatown but same taste. The only complain I have is they alway no rice rolls which is in the menu but never available to buy.

First visit here around 1pm on Saturday, which I expected to be somewhat busy but there were only 2 tables. If you didn't know about the hot pot place next door, then you may not have known about this. You can't see these restaurants from the main road so it's easy to miss, but there are plenty of parking space that you can do donuts.
It offers a good variety of dim sum and other Chinese dishes too from the menu; it's not the traditional push cart. We ordered 9 items but I think 4 out of 9 were good and the rest were either too much of an ingredient or too little. The prices were about $1 more or equal to another dim sum restaurant, but it is what it is nowadays : l
Service was great and friendly aunties, so it made the visit even better. If you're in the area or don't live far from Boca, it would be nice to visit.

Very disappointed with my takeout order from Shanghai Chinese Restaurant in West Boca Raton. • The food arrived cold. • You have to pay extra for duck sauce and mustard, and both were watered down. • The portions were extremely small for the price.
Overall, this was a letdown and not the quality I expected.
Poor quality food, slow service, over priced , new owners….go somewhere else

I'm having a hard time understanding how anyone could give this 5 stars.
I honestly do not like to leave negative reviews out of respect for a business trying to succeed, however the food here is really not good.
It tastes bland is really the best way I could put it. Vegetables where not fresh and the meat wasore in the processed meat side than real.
Also, they say us next to where they store the dirty dishes with dishrags and the entire time I had to look at and smell a dirty dishrag. Disgusting. Not sure why they leave dirty used stuff in front of paying customers.
The service was also less than average..not like you expect something amazing from a Chinese place but the guy never came back and asked to fill out water until the very end, never offered more wonton's and never asked how the food was or offered us anything else .
If you want better Chinese, pretty much anything has got to be better.
