I've found it very hard to find good Chinese food in So. Florida. Shaingai city is about the best I've found so far. It's clean with good service. The shredded beef szechuan style was excellent and just a touch spicy. Tender beef strips, a good mix of vegatables and a flavorful sauce. Egg roll was small and uninspiring but the spring roll was good. Both the hot & sour soup and wonton were very good. General Tso chicken was very good with all white meat, a light batter coating and an excellent sauce that was not overly sweet. (perfect for many people but if you like a heavy and crunchy batter with fattier dark meat this one may be too light.) orange beef looked good but didn't get a chance to try it.

The food was below average; karbragoon’s tasted like leftovers from lunch, spring rolls had more dough than filling and didn’t taste good; the garlic chicken was bland and chicken didn’t taste good; the beef and eggplant was ok but the meat was low quality and the Singapore rice noodles were ok but the shrimp tasted old. Save your money and don’t bother eating here!

Friends raved about Shanghai City and we have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant. Unfortunately this isn't it. Just another average Chinese restaurant that is extremely busy.
Started with Wonton Soup, decent made with beef broth, then an Egg Roll, just fair.
For mains, my wife loves Chicken With Eggplant , with bell peppers and scallions. She has had better. I opted for the Szechuan Shrimp , hot and spicy with both red & green peppers, onions, water chestnuts, and snow peas. I love spicy but this was over the top.

Upon payment was told I didn't give amount due and tried explaining I gave certain amount and awaiting change. Rather than making a scene, I paid more than what I told her I gave. Needs to be renovated. Looks like it was cleaned and painted in the 1970s and never touched again. The white table cloth on the table had filth and stains on it. We should have left right then.Then we waited. There was a large group of people in the back and the staff was small - no one came to greet us. We waited 15 minutes.I had to flag down the girl who kept walking past us and ask if someone could take our order. So they did. But without an apology.40 minutes later I had to flag down the same girl to ask if someone could check on our order in the kitchen! A few minutes later our COLD food was brought to the table. No apology again.Not good. Overall just a bad experience.
