My girl and I had an incredible experience at the Boca location. I like how all the patrons sit at the counter together, it adds a sense of intimacy akin to sitting at a sushi counter in Japan. You quickly begin to mingle with the other guests and even make friends along the way. A member of our party had a birthday and we all sang happy birthday to them and did a Sake toast. This was the best way to celebrate an early Valentine's Day dinner and we are definitely coming back. After this Omakase experience all other miami sushi spots will never taste the same again.

We have eaten at lots of sushi places and sadly this place misses the mark. It is overrated. They have no valet parking and the parking situation is a nightmare. The lot is very small and very crowded. We wasted about 30 minutes trying to find a spot and was late. You must know that the service starts if you are there or not and when we arrived they already had three pieces of sushi on our plates. While the sushi itself tasted very good the sushi chefs have zero personality and their interactions are zerol. They are merely working hard just to make the sushi which is the other issue. The service comes across as very rushed. When I booked i indicated that it was for my wife's birthday which the hostess was kind enough to wish her happy birthday when we arrived. In my opinion something should have been done by the chef to acknowledge the special event. If you ask if the reservation is for anything special then you need to do something about it or don't ask. A big miss by them. Dinner costed us $400 and the experience was not worth the money.

Omakase was very good. Fresh high quality fish. That’s what is most important. However, felt very rushed. No Sancerre, couldn’t make a cosmo. It’s not inexpensive so expected more.

The restaurant is kept extremely cold which is uncomfortable. We had 2 pieces that were chewy and boney and practically inedible. From NY and go to may omakase this was by far the worst and most disappointing. The staff does try hard and is nice.

Amazing omakase experience with five-star sushi and excellent service. The cozy ambiance makes it even better.

They never asked us if we wanted a drink while we were seated on the couches. When we were seated at the bar, our chef asked another gentleman to fill our water glasses and he said, “no”. He was joking but it made us feel pretty uncomfortable. We barely knew what type of sushi was being placed infront of us as they never spoke about it. Pretty bad experience. Would not recommend or go back.

I was extremely disappointed with the Sushi by Boa – Boca Raton location. This visit was intended to be a special experience, as we were using a $200 gift card purchased after an outstanding experience at the Albany, NY location.

Unfortunately, when the check arrived, we were informed that the gift card would not be accepted. The manager was dismissive and insisted that my card—used only to hold the reservation—had already been charged and could not be reversed, leaving no opportunity to apply the gift card. The interaction was unprofessional and lacked any effort to resolve the issue.

Additionally, we were seated approximately 30 minutes late and then rushed through the meal. The experience is advertised as a 90-minute dining experience, which we did not receive.

While I believe the Sushi by Boa concept itself is excellent and have previously enjoyed it at another location, I cannot recommend the Boca Raton location based on this experience.

Fun place. Everybody was friendly that was dining at our seating. We had a good time. Beer choices very limited and food was ok but not great.
