Incredibly disappointing sushi..we ordered two rolls as a take away and when we tried it, there was absolutely no flavour to the rice. The essence of sushi is the vinegar rice. Ruined our sushi at home date night..would not recommend.

Goodbye Sushi Ray. After loving this restaurant for 30 years, I am saying goodbye and writing a review because I feel compelled to share my story. I took my family for dinner last night and after being sat, nobody greeted us or took drink orders. Finally after a very long time, the orders were taken and we began to wait. and wait. and wait. Finally the sushi comes but the hibachi meals were held up. When the hibachi meals finally came to the table, the shrimp was literally the consistency of rubber. The rice was dry and hard, and the veggies were a sorry side of mushy zucchini!! GROSS! We sent back the shrimp hibachi and was not given a replacement or refund! We asked to talk to the manager/owner Ray, and was told he didn't have time to talk to us. He eventually came over (probably because we stared him down until he did) he was rude and unapologetic, There are so many good sushi and hibachi places in Boca so we are saying goodbye to Ray, his attitude, and his poorly cooked hibachi for good! (They don't even deserve one star)

The worst! Horrible Horrible service!Waited over an hour for a sushi meal and flipped out! Told the waitress she was terrible...never once did she try to explain they couldn't get our meal out!Never offered an excuse meanwhile flying knats swarming our soy sauce bottle! Walked OUT before meal was even close to being prepared.

Should be 0 stars. Brought food for half the table and left other half sit there and watch them eat. Pathetic staff that act like there job is so hard walking 15 feet to bring someone food. Plastic was fried in our crab tempura. Disgusting avoid at all costs!!!

Once we sat down, we waited an hour before we finally had enough and asked to be served. There was barely any people. We only ordered one thing to share and it took them another hour to bring us what we ordered. The food wasn’t even that good

Christmas Eve, coming down here to pickup food for the family and they just told me the order wasn’t going through. They just forgot to process the order. Waiting now for over 40 min and still nothing in sight.No apology, no friendly word, nothing.And I’m not the only one, several people also are not getting their orders.This place sucks, will never come back here!

Sushi Rey was absolutely terrible!!!!The sushi was terrible and the hibachi was cold, and flavorless. Ordered a medium fillet and received a tuff cut that was cold. The waiter was also forgetful never brought the sauces that came with the hibachi.The owner Rey was very rude when we criticized the meal he offered to give me a credit for the meal the next time I was in. This was after they took my nearly full plate away! Rey never apologized and turned around and walked off. This guy has no integrity!! There will be no next time Rey!!If this place lasts another year I would be absolutely shocked. Don’t ever go to this place!!!

The place was great! Very cozy and VERY COLD! The service was good, our waiter seemed like he didn’t want to be there but the rolls, rice and dumplings were great !
Great food! Sometimes they mess up your order if you ask for any changes to your meal, like “please add extra tofu”.
