After a long day of travels, this hit the spot for takeout. The sushi was incredibly fresh and the PadThai was very tasty. If you are from out of town, you can trust this place will be good!

Hey Sushi Yama I've been a customer for about 8 years. I was recently charged $1 EACH for small cups of watered down, spicy mayo with a $90 order of sushi. Why do you do that? Is this a new rule? Next time, when I want to spend a lot of money on fish and rice, I'll do it at a different establishment. Was that really worth it? Do you realize that pinching pennies just turns your customers off and makes them not come back? By the way, the person who rang it up also added an additional tip for herself on a family member's check about a year ago. I'm sure you can figure out who it is based on other bad reviews. We actually let that one slide after letting the manager know (they made the server pay us back out of her stolen tip money) but this little event was the final nail in the coffin. Goodbye & congratulations! šš

It is a hit or a miss. Maybe they should have their good cook train the others when he/she is not there.
The manager was rude, and Iām a customer who used to love this place.
If you want customers to keep coming, you need to replace the manager.
I asked if they could make Tom Yum with coconut milk, and she said they donāt do that and they donāt have it.
But I was there just two days ago and ordered the exact same soup, and they made it without any problem!

Today, we had a horrible experience at the restaurant one of the waitress she had short hair, after providing the bill the first thing she said ātips recommendedā. We would have given her tips anyway she didnāt had to mention that, then when we gave the tips she was forcing us to give her 18% tip whereas it was just 2 of us and we ate around $50. In my entire life I have never seen such a forceful way of asking for tip. She kept on saying why we didnāt provide the designated amount of tips. Well very poor customer service and she ruined our mood and misbehaved.

I always like Sushi Yama, and this was my first time at this location. It was very goodāfresh and tasty as always. I paid in cash and didnāt want to leave a 20% tip, so I asked for change and left a 15% tip instead. The staff member seemed annoyed. I believe there should be a reasonable limit to tipping. This was the first time I experienced something like this.

Sushi Yama Is Not What I Remember. My Favorite Was The Volcano Roll. I Love The Conch And The Topping Was Always Delicious. But, This Time It Was Overcooked And Didn't Taste Anything Like It Used To. Very Disappointed

Dear Sushi Yama Boca Raton Team,
My family and I have been loyal customers of Sushi Yama for over 15 years. It has always been our go-to spot whenever we craved sushi, and weāve created many wonderful memories there.
However, Iām writing with a heavy heart as weāve recently noticed a significant decline in both food quality and service. Weāre unsure if there has been a change in ownership or management, but the difference is clear. Weāve observed staff changes, and unfortunately, the new team often appears disorganized and less welcoming than before.
More concerning is the drop in the quality and flavor of the sushi itself. On our last two visits, the sushi lacked the fresh, flavorful taste we had come to love ā it was noticeably bland. Additionally, the portion of sauces provided with our order was minimal, even though we paid extra for them (photos attached).
Itās truly disappointing to see a place we held in such high regard change so drastically. While we will always appreciate the memories weāve made at Sushi Yama, we now find ourselves searching for another sushi restaurant that meets the standard we once found here.
