Came inside and no hostess was present, nor any signs. Myself and a different patron each took a menu off the stack that was sitting at entrance. An employee from behind the counter screamed “Those menus are for to-go orders!—We will bring you a menu”. No greeting, no “pls sit down”. The other patron left, saying he’s “not going to be talked to rudely”. I was more patient and sat down in an open booth. No one approached me (with or without a menu). After several minutes of being completely ignored, I left. Please pull the cameras to verify.

I’m writing this review because the owners need to know why two different customers left and won’t be returning. Failure to acknowledge people, other than screaming at them the minute they walk in the door, is not a good business strategy. A modicum of customer service can make all the difference in the competitive restaurant market, especially considering in the same plaza as The Griddle are three other neighboring food options

This restaurant has a overwhelming political atmosphere with stand up life-size paper cutouts of Trump and Vance all different political signs on the walls and news stations blaring on the TVs. I understand as an American we hang a picture of the president on the wall But this was a way over the edge. It was nauseating unless you are a big Trump fan I would go elsewhere my stomach was upset when I opened the door and immediately shut the door. I like to go to restaurants with a pleasant ambiance
to enjoy my lunch

Great food and service

Food was excellent, service was great and prices were good. I was a little worried being that this place has a lower score review. After eating there two times. There’s no doubt that those reviews are people with opposing political views. Based on the decor, they are clearly in support of Republicans. If I went to an establishment and they supported the other party, I would never leave a bad review if it was a good place. People are entitled to vote for the party, which they believe in. For people to leave bad reviews on a great spot because of their political views is just crazy to me.

Poor Hello

Nope! Not doing it! One and done!
$17.00 bacon and eggs with pancakes. Fine!
40 minute wait. Terrible eggs. Rubbery pancakes, with micro thin sausage.
Fool me once. That’s on me.
Don’t be fooled. This place isn’t worth the wait or the money.
We were 3 of 9 people inside. And we waited all that time.
Too bad, so sad.

I walked in after not being there for probably 10 years. The owner recognized me as we used to talk technology. Before she was an entrepreneur and restaurantuer, she was building raid technology and other cool things at IBM.

A Boca Raton Classic – Still the Best!

The Griddle is a true gem in Boca Raton! Walking in feels like stepping back in time — the retro diner vibe, historic photos, and welcoming staff make it feel like home. This place has been around since 1945, and it’s easy to see why it’s still going strong.

The food is classic American comfort at its best. I had the All American Breakfast — eggs, bacon, crispy hash browns, and toast — perfectly cooked and so satisfying. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and everything tastes fresh and homemade.

Also tried the hot open-faced turkey sandwich and their famous silver dollar pancakes — both incredible. Service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere is exactly what you want in a neighborhood diner.

If you’re looking for the best breakfast or a cozy lunch spot in Boca, The Griddle is it. A must-visit for locals and visitors alike!

I'm not sure how this place still exist. Food is horrible. Don't order the salmon omelet, don't order the cesar sald..not even the ice tea.. I paid close to $60 for this... crazy..the only thing relatively ok was the server ...

Great service. Loved the option of 2 silver dollar pancakes with my omelette in lieu of toast. The pancakes were so fluffy and light. I’ll come back for just an order of the pancakes alone the next time they were that good. And the hash browns were perfect. Coffee was amazing and my cup never went empty. The owner greeted us at our table and introduced herself. Our waitress was so friendly, hospitable and welcoming. Staff knew all their patrons. I loved seeing tables of friends from what seemed like a regular meeting spot. A place where people come to eat, mingle and hang out.
