We had a 5:30 p.m. reservation on Saturday night. The hostess seated us in a dark corner of the restaurant, cut off by two half-walls and near the kitchen. We asked to move to one of three empty tables for two in the main dining room, but were instead offered a spot in what's aptly called the alcove—surrounded by about six staff members standing around waiting for the dinner rush. Clearly, one of the worst table locations in the restaurant. It quickly became apparent that we weren't going to be offered one of the three open tables for two. The hostess, growing frustrated, explained that those tables had been specifically requested when the reservations were made—by table number. She said the restaurant honors table-specific reservations, even on a busy Saturday night, and since we hadn't reserved a table number, there was nothing she could do. What are the odds that three tables for two would all be reserved by number on a Saturday night? Even our waiter quietly acknowledged how absurd it was that no one was willing to let us move to another table.

The food and service were outstanding! Carlos is the BEST. We hace been there since we moved in Boca and have had great experiences but Carlos our server yesterday was really wonderful. He made our experience so special. My husband and I were so grateful for an awesome food and experience at Trattoria Romana.

This was a perfect place to celebrate my birthday!!!! We had excellent service by Moe and enjoyed the lovely evening with a table on the porch. We have our favorites here and didnt deviate. We start with the baked clams which were sweet and garlicky and delicious! They split in the kitchen which was nice. Entrees were the langostinas, a specialty of the restaurant and honestly never on any other restaurant menu. Expensive ...yes but it is my birthday and these are so sweet and good. I have to mention the bruschetta that is delivered upon being seated. The tomatoes are always so fresh and flavorful. I am told they grow them themselves...really a treat. The remainder of the bread basket is too good to leave. I always bring anything left home. We had a lovely California fume blanc to enjoy with our food. The restaurant brought me a deletable cake with strawberries for my birthday....even moe sang. Just perfect!!!!!

Everything was perfect. Our server was excellent my swordfish. Levornese was the best I've ever had. The little lobster tails oreganato superb!!! Always great and a Boca classic

Excellent service and the cuisine is like being in Italy. Carpaccio is very good comes with a delicious simple salad and Parmesan shavings. The bread is very tasty served with fresh bruschetta. Veal with mushrooms is exquisite. Always a pleasure and consistently excellent.

Server, Tony was exceptional- explained every special in perfect detail so much so there was no need to ask a question from me or my wife. Australian lobster tails special and shrimp with prosciutto, and cheese were both outstanding. The evening was perfect especially for a Tuesday night.
