We had a 5:30 p.m. reservation on Saturday night. The hostess seated us in a dark corner of the restaurant, cut off by two half-walls and near the kitchen. We asked to move to one of three empty tables for two in the main dining room, but were instead offered a spot in what's aptly called the alcove—surrounded by about six staff members standing around waiting for the dinner rush. We visited the Italian restaurant Trattoria. Even though the place was full, they managed to find us a cozy table, which was a nice touch. Overall, it’s a decent spot, but it was strange that there was no carbonara on the menu — quite unusual for an Italian restaurant. The seafood was tasty, though nothing exceptional. The waiters didn’t speak Italian, but they tried, which was nice, even if a bit unexpected for this type of place
The food and service were outstanding! Carlos is the BEST. We hace been there since we moved in Boca and have had great experiences but Carlos our server yesterday was really wonderful. He made our experience so special. My husband and I were so grateful for an awesome food and experience at Trattoria Romana.
