Food was not great that good. The brisket had very little smoke flavor and tasted more like a crock pot receipe. The Mac N cheese was soupy.However, it was a very large portion. Boiled peanuts were good.

Great place! Excellent BBQ, friendly staff, always stop here when I am passing through.
We stop at Smokin' Joe's BBQ nearly every time we kayak on the Peace River out of Paynes Creek State Park. Their food is ALWAYS delish! We had beef brisket sandwich platters and the shredded brisket was moist and out of this world! I didn't even need sauce. Their coleslaw was grated and slightly sweetened - just the way we like it. It's a no frills, homey joint with the BEST food kind of in the middle of nowhere. They smoke their own meats right on property, so it's ALWAYS fresh. Joe's won't disappoint.

Food was very bad. Place looks very rough. Service not great. I would definitely not recommend it. I could have excused the condition of the restaurant if the food was good, but I am pretty they serve better food at any school cafeteria.
My only issue which I can hardly complain about is the wait for the food. BUT MAN IS IT WORTH IT. This place is SO good. WOW. Took my 2 kids, husband and my mother in law; the Mac and cheese was mindblowing. Baked beans.. WOW. BANANA PUDDING, WOW, creamy and just WOW. We also had a beef brisket sandwich, chicken sandwich and pulled pork sandwich. WORTH EVER PENNY. Also, the coleslaw was my favorite! WOW WOW WOW. We will be making the drive to come back, distance be damned

we had ribs & pulled pork,my pork was not even warm & not completely done, my husband`s ribs still had red meat on them.The place was dirty, the floors were not swept, the chairs were dirty they need replaced. check your meat!

The best BBQ in FL. The portions are huge and slaw is perfect as are the beans. We had the rib and chiggen combo and it came in two boxes and and a bowl. Caution, this will ruin all other BBQ for you.
