Alu Mexican Cuisine

I was surprised to see it quite empty, the food was amazing, drinks too, and the place is beautiful, however, the place was with just a few tables and we have to ask for things all the time, more water, remove empty dishes, we would have appreciated to see our waitresses more often, specially when the food was taking a bit to come out. However it was worth the wait as the food came out delicious. They have a beautiful patio facing a lake that at night looks great for a date night. I hope they ramp up on service a bit more and be successful.

This was our first visit to this newer restaurant, so I was open minded about the experience. The time of day was a factor as our seats were directly in the sun due to the north side of the building having large windows. The food was very salty but edible. The outdoor seating area looked to be the better part of the restaurant, with a lake overview and live music. Not sure about how that will be during the summer months, but I would definitely give it another visit. The staff was extremely friendly. I will say whoever was busing tables could use a wardrobe upgrade. Sweatpants and slides? I didn't know he worked there until I saw him clear a table. If you're a tequila drinker, this is the place for you. I'm not, but the selection was impressive. I would give it an 8 out of 10 overall.

Wow. Taco Tuesday 😃 tacos 50% off and for my surprise that was a karaoke night. The ambient was great, people were very friendly.

Stood at front door entrance waiting. While 3 employees chatted at the bar in a dead restaurant.

We really enjoyed all the tacos. The rice and beans were delicious too. The place was very pretty inside.

We sat outside next to a private lagoon (or it felt that way). Enjoyed complimentary chips and salsa while browsing through the menu. I ordered the waffle and my husband had the mahi dish. Will definitely return!!

Food and service was good but restaraunt used plastic plates, forks and knives. That's fine for Chipotle, but less so for $15 margaritas and a $35 pork chop.

Our friend ordered a whole fish. We were eating out outdoors and as soon as the fish was placed on the table, they were flies everywhere then the waitress said oh yeah it only happens when you have fish she brought out fans that are supposed to fly fans supposed to get rid of the flies, but they were working because they hadn't been charged. We were also charged for a second round of chips and salsa and for sour cream that we asked for because the food was spicy, even though the waitress told us that it wasn't. as soon as the flies descended on our table, we could not leave fast enough. Our husband‘s paid the bill and left. Normally they would've asked for a manager, but they were so everyone was so shaken by this experience, they didn't even think to to do so we were repulsed by what we saw I would bill was close to $100 each and it wasn't worth anything we should've been comped.

Two things, service was a little slow. It would have been nice to hear some nice Mexican guitar music. There was no one there under sixty and yet it was like Mexican hip hop. The food is good and excellent value for our money. The outdoor sitting was excellent.

If you like salty food, then this is the place. It was inedible for me. They offered us something else, but menu is limited. Hope the can fix this. The restaurant has a nice ambience.

Took a while to get drinks, beautiful decor and outdoor dining, food was well cooked, drinks delicious. I would come again

Food and ambiance were great! Beautiful hidden gem! Order the short rib empanadas and enjoy a cocktail!

Not really Mexican Food. Very expensive. Everything A la carte. Meal consists of a protein. They offer rice but absolutely no vegetables. Never go there again. Best part was the setting. Outdoors overlooks the water. Menu very very limited and costly.

We love the food here and the service is great! Riannon was amazing! We got the taco entree and it was amazing.
