First time I tried this place and let me say, it left a bad taste in my mouth… literally. I ordered delivery on wings with fried pickles and a side of cheese fries.The cheese sauce was seized up and gritty, and the wings look like they came off some other bird, definitely not a chicken. Wingstop came in clutch (look at the size difference). The restaurant was nice enough to give me a refund, but I’m pretty sure I just ate pigeon or somthing.
We DoorDashed Byrd’s Hot Chicken and the food itself was excellent. The two-sandwich special (hot) and fries were spot-on — crispy, flavorful, and exactly what we hoped for. Would absolutely order the food again.
The only disappointment was the strawberry shake. It was extremely thin and tasted more like strawberry milk than a milkshake — definitely not worth the $9. Unfortunately, DoorDash won’t credit it, which makes it even more frustrating. Will...

World’s Okay’est Chicken Sandwich. Place is sort of run down. I think the AC was broken. Chicken was OK. Not great. No bad. Definitely not that hot (ordered hot). Multiple levels below Hattie B’s. Fries were probably the best part, spicier than the hot chicken.
