Duffy's Sports Grill

We had a great time at Duffy’s. It was a last-minute decision and the burger was delicious. They have delicious hamburgers just out and their onion rings. Yum… my. We sat in the bar area. It was on an eight football game and I’ll tell you they had it no less than 20 TVs in the bar. Any game that was on you could watch it. The service was surprisingly good because our server was working outside and inside, but he had back up! The beer was delicious. I got the Goose Island and he got Yingling. I totally recommend this for any sports fans and or people who just like to go out for a great burger and beer and oh the onion rings.

Today 10/4 at 12:40 pm I visited Duffy's Sports Grill on Boynton Beach Blvd in Boynton Beach and was really looking forward to a delicious cheeseburger. I’ve enjoyed them at the location in Delray Beach is in Boynton Beach.

Well, suffice to say I had a horrible experience. Upon arriving, I was excited to enjoy some good food and catch a game in the bar area. However, my enthusiasm quickly faded as the service left much to be desired. There wasn’t any service. I along with others were seated in the bar area and no sever arrived for anyone for at least 10 minutes. I finally got up to get a new table in a new area.

Frustrated, I decided to approach the host desk to inquire about a delay, only to find a crowd of people waiting to be seated, with no apparent urgency from the staff.

I finally managed to get the attention of a server. Instead of an offer to help, I was met with a dismissive response explaining that they were busy.

At this point, I felt completely ignored and decided to leave.

I suggest a mystery diner around lunchtime because it wasn’t just me waiting it was a dozen people who also couldn’t understand what was going on…

Important warning for anyone with allergies. I have a severe shellfish allergy and ordered the broccoli cheese soup. I told the waitress about my allergy. Unfortunately, it seems some of the clam chowder had gotten mixed in because they store them side by side. I found pieces of clam in my soup after I started eating it. I showed the manager the pieces and he talked to the chef, thankfully he was honest and admitted it to me that it was clam so I could take proper steps to make sure I didnt wind up in the hospital. I was very lucky but it could have been very bad had I not realized it was mixed in there.

Everything was good but at the end end I noticed the waitress being short with this older lady that was asking her a question while she was attending me. It was very rude.

The food was good, but the service was GREAT. I was indecisive, so our waitress (blonde hair, name was Beth?) helped me settle on a good burger, and boy, was she right! Hats off to the chef's and hats off to Beth!
