We drive by this place all the time and always thought it looked like a cute place, plus reviews looked decent so we finally stopped in today. The sign out front says self seating so we chose a table outside, waited a few minutes then our server came out with menus. The server had her airpods in her ears and barely even said hello to us then she proceeded to just stare at us without saying a word. We assumed she was waiting for drink orders so we asked for waters. It was a bit awkward of an interaction but no big deal.. She leaves for a moment, we start checking out the menus and by the time she came back we were ready to order. But before we could even get a word out to indicate we were ready, the server was already walking away to go back inside. The restaurant was not busy, there was one other woman sitting outside and as far as I could see the inside was nearly empty, so I doubt she was in a hurry to go check on another table or something. Regardless she barely spoke more than 3 words to us during the time we were sitting there. We decided after she walked away that we would go to our tried and true, The Bridge Café in Delray. If you are looking for GREAT customer service and awesome food, skip East Ocean and go check out Bridge Café instead.

This whole experience at East Ocean put a very bizarre taste in our mouths.. or maybe it was just the sink water we were served. Either way, we definitely won’t be back. Very unfortunate.

I’ve passed by this place a couple of times and have always wanted to stop by. I finally made it in today with my gf for breakfast and we sat outside. (Self seating). We were approached by a young black girl wearing AirPods with another menu in her hand and silverware. She put the menu down on the table and just stared at us. We were not sure if she was a hostess or a server but regardless she didn’t introduce herself or say anything at all, just an awkward stare. So we awkwardly said “hey”, and she responded offering drinks. We ordered some water so we could take a look at the menu but couldn’t help but feel completely thrown off by this girls weird attitude. She came back with the waters, and before we could let her know whether we were ready to order or not she was already walking away without a single word. So yeah, we left.

A good local mom and pop shop. Has a simple menu and food is made with love. I had the “east ocean breakfast” a great choice imo. I highly recommend this place next time you want breakfast.

This place is a little gem for people who like individually own small hole in the wall cafes and diners. It has a very chill laid back atmosphere while also providing great genuine service and conversation. The inside has enough room for maybe 10-15 guest, but more tables outside on the front patio. Our servers name is Rose, a very beautiful, sweet, and kind young lady. Our food came out hot and tasted delicious. I got sausage gravy and 1 biscuit with a side of hash browns & toast. My boyfriend got a meat lovers omelet that comes with hash browns & toast. All of that costed around $25!! So it is very affordable and inexpensive. This was the perfect place for us to get a late brunch at after being at the beach for the morning. 10 out of 10 I would definitely come here again and recommend it to anyone who likes very small and laid back cafes.

Found east Ocean Cafe on a site called nextdoor! I was very happy coming here! It's really good food and Dixon is the cook and we had Rose waiting on us, very good service and extremely welcoming! My friend had the spinach/feta/tomato 3 egg omelette excellent! I had the omelette with Cheddar cheese and bacon cooked to perfection it wasn't dry!
The place is a hole in the wall, needs updates but sits only about 14 ppl but if ur looking for good food very reasonable prices try out east Ocean Cafe in mind! The gentleman that comes here all the time ordered a cheeseburger they r 1/2 lb and very juicy!
I was pleasantly surprised!

The waitress refused to honor an AARP discount because no owner was present, and she didn't know how to do it. She also claimed to be too busy to try to figure it out. Service was very slow, and we had to repeatedly ask for butter, lemon, cream cheese, and cinnamon. We were one of the only two tables in the entire restaurant at the time. The food was pretty good, but there were a lot of flies outside and it was too hot to sit inside the restaurant. This place used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but I would not go back again!
