The attitude and the pastries are hit and miss. Sometimes you get a nice fresh biscotti, next time it's hard as a rock. Sometimes they are nice, other times can't be bothered when you are trying to give them your business. There are too many better places for me to bother with this place anymore.
Great place , this is an absolutely authentic Italian bakery..
They put out an excellent product..
They have indoor as well as outdoor seating , they have homemade dishes to go as well ..
Stop by once , you'll be back ..
Enjoy.!!

Stopped in, to enjoy a bagel and coffee. She informed me, danish, muffins ect. I asked about a slice of pizza. Informed that would be $15.00. Stated she 'couldn't help me' then walked away. Can I get a coffee?? Had to wait until Donna, came up to pleasantly help me. I'd like to personally Thank Donna, for her service.

I stopped into Palermo’s Italian Bakery in Boynton Beach looking for some sugar-free options since I’m newly diabetic. Unfortunately, they only had one cookie labeled as sugar-free, and it tasted more like sawdust than a treat. I went in on a Saturday, and the place was completely empty, with a lot of shelves bare and very few choices when it came to pastries or sweets.
The staff were friendly enough, though communication was a bit tough since the woman helping me spoke very little English. If you speak Italian and aren’t too picky about variety, it might work for you. But overall, my experience was disappointing, and I probably wouldn’t go back.

Employees can make or break a business! Palermo's needs a reality cheeck on a rude and misinformed employee that is rude and giving out wrong info. I recently asked for an onion challah bread which they normally make on thursdays. I was told by a woman with a very dismissive attitude that they no longer make it. Now, months later, I am told by a different woman with a very nice attitude that they do make it in season AND there Is a different kind of onion bread available all year. Any onion bread would have been fine with me but I had only been aware of an onion challah. Was also told by the second employee that they can probably make an onion challah at request as they like to make their customers happy! What a difference a great employee can make. What a shame to the first employee... Palermo owners need to really pay attention!
Authentic italian bakery! I highly recommend it!
I don’t do reviews, but our experience was so bad, I had to give a review.
My husband is Sicilian. We were visiting from Virginia and wanted a good bakery with Sicilian pastries. We drove 45 minutes that day, just to visit this bakery.
There was an older lady and a young lady working the counter. Since there were no names on the pastries, I asked the older lady what several of the pastries were. She seemed bothered that I was asking, so I felt too uncomfortable to ask anything else.
After she walked away, I decided on a couple pastries that the young girl was getting for me. My husband wasn’t sure what he wanted, so he kept looking. The young girl seemed VERY bothered that we weren’t sure what and how many pastries we wanted. She kept asking “is that going to be all”. She got so irritated with us, saying she needed to know what size box to put them in. We felt very rushed. And we were the only people in the store.
After boxing what we chose, I paid for the pastries. Then my husband seen coffee cake sitting on top of the counter and decided he wanted a piece. When I asked for it, she really showed her attitude! I asked her if there was a problem, but she ignored me. The older lady came back to the front counter, folded her arms, then stared at me until we left. I felt super uncomfortable until we left the bakery. Looking back on it, I should’ve given back the parties and asked for my money back. That was probably the worst service I’ve ever had.
Now, for the taste. We got 7 pastries and only one was good. That coffee cake from on top of that counter HAD to be something they were getting ready to throw away. It looked and tasted like it had been left out, uncovered for days. They knew they were selling an old coffee cake. Why would anyone sell something so bad?
We will NEVER go back to that place. I can’t believe they stay in business with those attitudes.
I recommend you find a better bakery. There are much better bakeries out there.
I have been to this bakery few times Hopi g the service would be better, but that was not the case. The owner seems nice but I was waited on by another very rude and unfriendly lady! I had to ask for large loaf of bread and was told “we don’t have any”. So I asked if they ran out or didn’t make any- she replied curtly, we didn’t make any. I asked for powder sugar on my pastry and she didn’t do it. I had to ask how much and was told $10 - for one pastry and a skinny little loaf of bread!? Are you kidding me?? Never again! I am Italian and would never come back to this place again!

Best pepperoni loaf!
Cookies are fantastic
A great Italian bakery. If you love canollis and the ricotta cream filling you will not be disappointed and their cookies and biscotties. Forget Donna's and get the real freshly baked biscotties.
We greeted by the warmest smile from a tiny Sicilian woman. It was like one would be greeted by their grandma. Another friendly and kind lady came around the counter and explained what each of their pastries were. We left with a box full of goodies and warmth in our hearts. 10/10, I recommend! You must come and experience the warmth from a grandma along with the yummiest pastries ever! I almost forgot, the pastries were so affordable!!
