Ordered take out and when I got home I realized they made my order wrong. When I returned to the store to get what I ordered the staff was very rude. They took the food they made wrong and put it on top of the food prep area (this is after the prepped food had left the store for ~30 min, I am nearly certain this is a health code violation.
To top it all off, rather than just give me what I ordered, they looked up my order and charged me the difference between what I wanted and what they accidently charged me for. Most restaurants when they make mistakes and are facing an angry customer with screaming kids just fix their mistake and move on but apparently Pollo has to get their $3.80 too.
Avoid this location at all costs. I will not be going here ever again

Food was fresh and hot. Customer service was outstanding. Senior employee was a little mouthy when questioned about the portions amount in the small tropi chop. I'm not going to let her kill my vibe. Customer service is just as important as the food you serve.

June1, 2025 afternoon visit....I was enticed to go to Pollo Tropical by the currently streaming ad for shrimps served 3 different ways ! I also have enjoyed the fried yucca, black beans and tostones. Today, I got nothing as I waited at the counter for service that did not address me until I turned to walk out. The employee was courteous but slow to reply regarding items I considered buying...anyway I soon learned my Boynton Beach location on Congress Ave did NOT have ANY shrimp...oh well, as, I dont eat the fowl...I asked about the potion size of the Yucca (enjoyed many times in past) and was Not pleased how much the cost rose and portion smaller. ( I have included photos to detail better than my words - the smaller tray was $4.99 ...unfortunately disappointed that I could not get any nourishment to my liking....I also noticed on my way in no one was inside in line to order (Yes drive thru was serving autos) and no one was in facility eating ?! check out photos - a ghost town !
Donât know why you are still open. Havenât been at this location for years, came back and as expected burnt chicken, wrong sides, bad employee attitude. Donât waste your time or money.
