Service is terrible. Bonnie, the manager couldn’t care less about your experience.I have lived in Boynton Beach for the past 24 years. And for many years now I have enjoyed dining at Yami. This latest visit will be my last. My mom flew in to visit, so I took her to Yami for a nice dinner. We ordered some drinks, some appetizers, a spider roll and a charashi. The spider roll seemed like it was premade and taken out of a fridge when we ordered it. The rice was cold, the soft shell crab, which should have just come out of the fryer, was cold. It was unappealing, but my mom didn't want to make a fuss and kept picking away at it.Eventually, the server came over and asked how things were and I asked him if the spider roll was made to order, or pre-rolled. He said it was not pre-rolled and that everything was made to order. I shared with him that the crab and rice were cold as if it came out of a cold case. He then offered to have a new one made for us (we never asked for a new one, the waiter offered). This is where it gets interesting... About 5 minutes later the manager (whose name I found out later was Bonnie) comes to the table with a dish in hand. We assumed it was a fresh spider roll. What it was, in fact, was the leftover spider roll that the waiter had taken away. So she comes up to the table, dish in hand, and says "So what's the problem?" I explained to her that the dish was cold and didn't seem like it was fresh made. All the time I was talking she kept repeating that it was half eaten and that why did we wait 10 minutes before asking for a new one. Mind you, we never asked for a new one, the waiter offered to replace it as stated above. I tried to say that the shrimp tempura on the table, which came out at the same time, was still very hot and asked her to touch the crab to feel how cold it was. She said "I'm not touching your food" and walked off with the plate. This left us with no replacement dish AND on top of that, my mom had no entree because she left with it.We paid our bill, which included the spider roll Bonnie took away from the table, tipped the waiter cash and left.As I was leaving, I tried once more to talk with Bonnie and explain how I had been coming to the restaurant for years, my mom had been traveling ALL day and that she single handedly ruined my image of the restaurant. Bonnie wouldn't listen, and kept talking over me, so we just left. And had to go get some food for my mom.We paid $150 for a very bad experience. I will NEVER eat at Yami again as long as Bonnie is working there.PS – I tried to reach out to the owner via a provided email to share my experience without having to post a bad review, but no one ever responded.

Disappointing Korean BBQ - the meat was only ok, the banchan were skimpy and uninteresting.

This restaurant is obviously a 'neighbor delight' because there is a large local following. When I dined at YAMI the place was almost 100% full. The food was tasty and the service was professional. An excellent restaurant choice if you reside in Delray Beach, Boynton Beach or Palm Beach Gardens. There are two dining options, you can cook the food at your table or you can elect to have it prepared by chefs in the kitchen.

This place makes me feel laid back and welcomed. The service is good, the food is wonderful. It's a great change to everything else in our area. The prices for the bbq is more on the pricey side but worth it. The sea food for the sushi is very fresh. The sake os also one of the best I have had in boynton. I highly recommend this place.

We’ve explored quite a few Korean BBQ here in SoFlo and have to say Yaki truly exceeded our expectations and one of the best places for those looking to grill. We went there on a Sunday for lunch and there was very little people so no need reservations.Everything from the meat quality, grill quality to the condiments were delicious. The staff were also friendly.Looking at the menu, the other dishes also look delicious so will definitely need to return.

I had a good time at this place! The barbecue was really tasty, and they give you a good amount. Plus, the side dishes can be refilled once for free. Besides the grill options, they also have a regular menu with other choices. Definitely a great spot for Korean BBQ lovers!

Been here twice! The first time wasn't a good experience because of our rude server, but the second time was great. Aside from our server being friendly, the food was really good! The place is clean and has a great ambiance. Just be aware of what you order, the price is a bit expensive.

Food was absolutely not satisfactory. We walked out in disappointment after only sitting down for 30 minutes. The brocolli was soggy and disgusting, the rice tasted like TAP WATER, and the kimchi soup tasted like tap water as well. I've never in my life had food that tasted like that, and I've never complained at a restaurant until now. Service was okay, nothing special, but the employee told us they could not compensate us for our dissatisfication (the food literally tasted like chemical) which I replied "that's okay, I'm not looking to have it taken off my check. Just wanted to give some feedback." But my girlfriend said that it was crazy because restaurants will usually try to make it up to you if they have a good sense of customer service. First time here and not coming back. For such poor quality dishes, the prices are crazy.
