Great experience tonight at Bamboo Island Bar from start to finish. Funky, tasteful, cozy, yet bright atmosphere all rolled into one. The two women running the front house and bar were so genuine and personable. It was evident that they care a lot about this establishment. The backhouse staff was just as talented based on the food we enjoyed! Octopus appetizer, the Rio, the Salvador, and a pepperoni pizza for my son were all very good. BIB is a unique and refreshing experience for the area. I wish them much success!

This family owned spot is the best. Excellent service, food, and story. Stopped in for a drink and appetizer and was blown away. The atmosphere is lovely, calm but also so lively and uplifting. My favorite spot in Sarasota.

This place is a gem! The presentation of the food is what you would find in an upscale French restaurant. Everything we ordered, (and I think we ordered almost everything) was delicious. The service is very attentive. To be fair, it's a small restaurant with a small kitchen, but they punch above their weight. We went with a group of 14. A couple members of the group have severe allergies. The servers were all very attentive, accommodating, and extremely patient in working with the individuals with allergies to make sure there were no problems.

What an incredible experience we had today!! Service food drinks all amazing. Fresh delicious food. The drinks were so well made. We had the mojitos and a tequila sunrise. We enjoyed the octopus as an appetizer. Out of this world!! Loved the dipping sauces. So tender and delicious. Then had the pasta with shrimp calamari and scallops in a butter sauce. Oh my oh my!! Our server Emily was top notch. Can't wait to come back!!

Food was absolutely amazing. There were four of us and we all finished every bite. Started with the pizza as an app! My wife had the Hawaiian pineapple shrimp dish and she said it was life-changing. We come to AMI frequently but never miss a chance to visit Bamboo Island.

Yesterday my husband and I were looking for a place to have a dinner and we ended up at bamboo island and is the most beautiful place, with a amazing food, the staff are absolutely fantastic Emily and Rafa are adorable. The owner came to are table introduced herself making sure everything was good! Honestly if you are looking for a place to have a dinner or appetizer or even a drink that’s the place. This place is absolutely remarkable. Servers Emily and Romy were beyond accommodating. We came in close to closing and they had no issue providing us with top-tier service and food beyond compare. Every item on the menu seemed irresistibly delicious with flavor profile so precise it boggles my mind. Each menu item is paired with a picture and every plate comes out looking exactly as displayed. I have eaten food around the world and this place will be on my list of memorable destinations. If you do not try this restaurant while you are in the area, you do not appreciate true culinary excellence.
